Re: Barking on the spring pole

is this late at night after the noise law? our noise curfew it is 11:00pm in this area, so if my dogs were not barking all day and after 11:00pm, I would explain to my neighbors, we are not breaking any laws(and make sure a spring pole is not illeagl in your area too) I don't do it after about 8:00...

Barking on the spring pole

I've recently had a second complaint from the same neighbor from Rose barking. Both were when on the spring pole. When jerking back against the tension, she lets out a high pitched bark, every repetition. The growling when airborne and guttural sounds that are typical of any dog on a pole aren't the...

Re: Sooki The Pit Bull Survives Machete Attack *Graphic*

I saw this on a snake forum and was just about to post it. Only a pittie could take that and still wag her tail. I hope she finds a great loving home. You all already know what I hope for the sub-human who did that.

Re: Stopping play -HOW?

Thanks, Tiva and all. I suppose the spring pole will have to be put away for a while (since it's impossible to "end"). The overheating and labored breathing have been really worrying me though, so it's probably worth it. I've been close to putting her in the pool or giving her a garden hos...

Stopping play -HOW?

I have an AB and an APBT (and an English bulldog, who I'll leave out of this discussion). Both are well-trained and the AB has her CD certification. The pit pup (in my avatar) is technically my elderly mother's, but I train him and he could already pass his CD with flying colors at seven months. My ...

Re: Taste of the Wild

I've switched to mostly raw, and am happy with the results, but I defy anyone to tell me you don't have to put a lot of either a) time or b) money into it. The only kibbles I alternate/supplement with are TOTW, Timber Wolf, and Innova Evo. For the price, I've not found a grain free food that is clos...

I only meant a "warning" in the sense that the parents should be warned that this could escalate if they have two brain cells to rub together. The dog seems very stable and in fact, quite precious to me.

Most disturbing Youtube video I've seen in a week (not APBT)

A young Akita with a baby. Looks cute to the parents, but the nipping at hands and face isn't a warning?!? No wonder dog bites happen with the frequency they do...

While it is not the end all, be all; dogfoodanalysis.com gives a pretty good breakdown on most kibbles, ranking them from one to 6 stars. Purina One gets a one, the lowest rating. Insufficient meat content and too many grains, by-products, etc. I have yet to walk in a vet's office that sold healthy ...

Wouldn't meat inclusive of water content = kibble and a same amount of drinking water? I feed well over half raw these days, but a high protein grain-free rotation fills out the rest. If I were to use exclusively dry kibble, I would lean towards Evo, TOTW, and Timberwolf like I add to the meat mix n...

I sell them at my store, but for my bullies, they don't hold up well. They do LOVE them, but these have to be taken away after play time or they look like they went through a wood chipper. The "squishy" factor is high, and some dogs are all about these toys.
