Re: Hector's Trainning

Thanks Amie! Well, here there aren't ban breeds, but in our BSL there are eight specific breeds, considered as "Potentialy Dangerous": American PitBull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Tosa Inu, Akita Inu, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro. ...

Re: Héctor's Trainning

So, finally I've bought a Tug with gusset, made of jute. It's used by Shutzhund and K9 training. Hector love's it! And when I want, I can hang off and play directly with him. At this moment, Hector's sick and he don't want to play at all. In only one day, he has lost 6 lbs. He has gastroenteritis. W...

I've made a Springpole, a Flirtpole and restore a very oxidized and old Treadmill. The only toy that I've didn't made is his Black Kong. For me, it's a pleasure to spend time, making funny things for my Amstaff. And you can save a lot of money, if you make them instead of buy them.

I'm sorry but can't I help you. The only suggestion is that, maybe in a Mushing forum, you could find better help. The guys who runs the Iditarod or some races like these, where they use Malamutes or Huskies or any Spitz type dog, knows how to teach dogs to turn.
See you!

I've made a Flirtpole last saturday. This is a very cheap instrument and Héctor loves it. An old broom stick, a rope and a piece of carpet and you've done it. I think that it's important that dog obey perfectly the command "give up", because it's not a tug toy that could resist very hard ...

I'm sorry you have to deal with BSL issues! So far (knock on wood) we don't have any in our area (I'm in the Chicago suburbs). Looking forward to seeing more pics of your boy!! I would like to visit Chicago. My uncle lives in Joliet, but now I don't remember exactly where. He is spanish teacher and...

I see you're located in Spain. What is the attitude towards pit bulls/bully breeds over there? Any BSL issues? Unfortunately yes, we have our own BSL. By now there isn't any ban breed. But there are some rules to became this dog owner. You have to be more than 18 years old, pass a psychotecnic test...
