Re: What;s wrong with the grain free kibbles?

I think the point is that pet owners who want the benefits of raw are being led to believe that "grain free" kibble is a suitable alternative. Kibble is kibble when it comes to moisture content....a very important component of raw. It could be misleading for a person new to the idea of raw...

Re: Spinal Injury

I cannot thank you enough for your replies. I honestly thought it was totally false hope to believe that she would be able to make it without the surgery. I've never been to the vet my parents took her to so I was reluctant to believe that possibility. She might be an older dog but she's so healthy ...

Spinal Injury

My parents 11 year old beagle escaped the other night and wasn't found until the next afternoon in the neighbors yard. When their neighbor found her he said he honestly expected her to die in his arms right then and there. She warmed up but couldn't stand. At first we thought it was a result of bein...

Re: Procter & Gamble purchases Natura (EVO)

So not cool. I used the cat/kitten Innova in my ferret's mix and would also buy it for my parent's cats. And I liked the treats for the dogs. Sellouts.

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

Happy to hear that Halo did so well (and that you found a better clinic by the sound of it!). As long as she doesn't pick up banjo playing you should be good, lol. Eli did super at the vet, they were very nice and had a gorgeous facility. It's been over a week since the surgery, I waited to get pics...

:yucky:

And that's ONE of the reasons I feed raw. Although I do trust the higher quality commercial foods in that regard.

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

All the replies have been very helpful. Since my last posting I've decided that I am indeed opting for a root canal. So I once again canceled the extraction appointment with my regular vet, bless them for being so patient with my indecisive self. And learned a bit more about Vet#2. Funny thing about...

Re: update on bruno's tooth

That's interesting to know because I've wondered about the older dogs with worn down teeth and if it bothers them or not. Glad that Bruno doesn't have a cracked tooth! But it sounds like he might need some sleep therapy or something...maybe hypnosis will help. lol

Re: CRAP. His tooth is cracked....what do I do?

This just is not a good month for teeth! I'd have it checked soon. Apparently dogs can be in great dental discomfort and not display clear signs of pain. So it's best to take action even if you're unsure.

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

If you don't know how much experience they have, then just ask!! He may have just taken a CE course last month and has done 2 root canals, or he may have taken a class 3 years ago and done 20+... most people will be honest if you ask them up front. I asked how many he does and he just answered that...
