Re: Heads up Garfield, NJ

Looks like between myself and someone I met through the Garfield BSL Facebook page we should have at least one resident who can work with the ADOA. We are also trying to plan a peaceful/legal protest prior to May 11th. I will keep the forum updated if we get something organized.

Re: Heads up Garfield, NJ

I just spoke with the City Clerk and this is not on the agenda for April 27th, but is for May 11th. There is still time to write letters and sign the petition.

Heads up Garfield, NJ

MAY 11th in Garfield, there's a hearing to propose BSL - BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION. Write a letter to Mayor Frank Calandriello and the Garfield City Council and politely ask them to oppose this measure. All letters should be mailed to the following address: Garfield City Council111 Outwater LaneGar...

Re: Winter is coming!

My pit loves the snow especially running (I should say prancing) around in it like a deer. He doesn't seem to mind the temperature when he is playing in snow, but I am sure he gets cold because he is white so his feet get really red. I do have a coat for him when we walk and I use Musher's Secret on...

Re: What is your exercise schedule for your dog(s) each day?

I have a 1 1/2 yr old male pit and a 2 1/2 yr old female shepherd chow mix. We got for a 45 min walk every morning (weather permitting may be shorter) - I jog a few times a week so I will take them separately and walk my girl and jog with my pittie b/c he loves to run. I work from home so I am able ...

Re: My first post

You and your wife are amazing people for taking in this adorable litter and their momma. The picture of you holding a pup reminds me of my little guy with the pink spot on the tip of his nose. Best of luck adopting them out. I wish I had the room to adopt one from you. I am in NJ and grew up in Sout...

Re: Attachment Issues.

I would use a crate and ignore her cries (which she'll inevitably do since she has been sleeping in bed with you). I recommend the crate too! We learned from our first pup (she was 10 weeks) that the crate is best especially at night. She would jump off the bed and I didn't sleep b/c I was worried ...

Driving Cross Country Through Denver??

My husband and I will be relocating to California later this year and I will be driving our two pups cross country. Should I even consider stopping in Denver with my pit? Based on preliminary driving estimates this would have been one of our stops, but from what I am reading it isn't even worth it. ...

Re: FLYING DOGS

I realize this original thread is some what old, but there is a new airline out there that flies pets and only pets. Their website is http://www.petairways.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They fly in the cabin so no temperature restrictions and the flight staff are pet trained. I ...
