Re: Pit Bull Rescue in Calgary, Alberta?

I had a positive experience adopting from Pit Bulls for Life. Also, Bilinda Wagner of the Edmonton Humane Society is a huge pit bull advocate and involved in providing breed-specific training on site including obedience, reactive dog classes and CGN certification.

I'm affiliated with HugABull, so I won't answer your questions.. definitely a bias there!... but I encourage you to check us out, as well as RespectABull and Bully Buddies.

HugABull will adopt to the right home regardless of renting or owning, fenced yard or not.

Aww, how could anyone leave a little baby suffering like that? Good luck with the surgery and hope she finds a loving forever home soon, so she can get back to enjoying her puppyhood!

Oh, she looks like such a sweetie. I love her shape. Her expressions remind me a lot of my Boston somehow? Looks like she really enjoys the other dogs' company.

And thanks for the heads up, Wegobad. Kelowna is BSL free!! And a very dog friendly community from what I hear. Our new place is right near what they call the 'Greenway'- a treed biking trail that goes almost to the edge of the lake. Perfect for exercising a pitbull!
