Re: FABULOUS- Pit Bull Mixes in KANSAS CITY, MO

Knowing there are cats in the house is causing Sully a lot of stress. He is also stressed because I keep pulling in fosters and our time together is growing shorter. Good news is that Sully will be going to live with his forever family on Sunday to be an only child. I'd love to keep Sully, but reali...

Re: KCMO Shelter Pit Bull Thread

Kentucky is ADOPTED I'm going to speak with our rescue coordinator about pulling for out of state rescues. Right now, the shelter is at capacity and we are paying approved local rescues $25/dog with full vetting. Let me get with her and our director and shelter manager and see what we can work out w...

Re: Temperament - venting

Wow I just seen this... I haven't frequented the forum in so long, but this is very true. I work for the local shelter and our local Pit rescues pull the blue dogs as soon as their stray hold is up. No temperament testing, nothing. And there are 2-3 red, black or brindle dogs with stellar temperamen...

KCMO Shelter Pit Bull Thread

Hi guys, expect to see a lot of these from me, so I just made my own thread. I work that the KCMO shelter and we have several exquisite pit bulls and pit bull mixes looking for homes. We are a high volume kill shelter but we try not to euthanize unless all of our options are exhausted. These dogs ar...

Re: FABULOUS- Pit Bull Mixes in KANSAS CITY, MO

Since Sully would do best in a sporting or working home, I'm posting him here as a last ditch effort to get him into one. It's not going to break my heart if he doesn't leave me, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind either. He's got a strange story. He's the first foster I've had since my ill-fated Sally, ...

Re: FABULOUS- Pit Bull Mixes in KANSAS CITY, MO

I want to see pictures, but I think the albums or pictures are set to private? I am so curious to see Sully!! Sent from my ATRIX using Tapatalk The puppy album should be public. Here is Sully's courtesy listing via Missouri Pit Bull rescue. He is with me via foster. The bio is a little old. He is l...

FABULOUS- Pit Bull Mixes in KANSAS CITY, MO

Sully Sully is a very high drive pit bull mix. He has the coat and wrinkles of a shar pei, and looks kind of like a rottweiler with his coloring, but don't be fooled! He is ALL bully in his attitude. I would prefer this dog to go to a working or sporting home, NO EXCEPTIONS. He is extremely toy mot...

There is a Presa breeder that says not to use ace (or some other drugs) in that breed. If its the same presa breeder I know she lost two pups cropping on ace once :-/ I think it might be if she is the one in IL. She is a nice lady. I've been wanting to get out and see her dogs work for a while but ...

I have thought about doing the raw thing, but I don't know too much about it. I try to stick with kibble, because for me its more convenient. I just can't afford $70 a month on dog food, no matter how good it is. I don't want to slack on quality, but that price is just absolutely outrageous! I would...

I was using TW and stopped as well. I'm feeding Kato Natural Balance duck & potato and he loves it. http://www.naturalbalance.net/dogformulas/allergy.html I fed that to Nadiya for a while, as well. It didn't agree with her all that well. She is not allergic to anything, but it made her guard ha...

I know a lot of people here are liking Taste of the Wild. It's grain free and I think they have a fish formula. Not sure about the price difference though. Wow that is like... almost $30 Cheaper for their largest bag. I will have to try it for sure! And now I can keep both doggies on it if they do ...

Timberwolf Alternatives

We started feeding Sally their Ocean Blue forumula, and well the last time I bought TW, it was $15-20 CHEAPER than it was this last time around. $70 for a bag of dog food? No way. Even though it lasts a month, I cannot afford $70 every month with things going the way they are. Sally got chipped, spa...

Our dogs love to dig up grubs and eat them. It's gross when they swallow them whole... they gag as the bugs wiggle down their throat, and then they barf them up and eat them again. :yucky:
