Re: March Trick of the Month: Army crawl

Ok.. we tried this. All three dogs.. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Maven is the toughest. she always has had an "opinion." I did lure and cluck (some). I'm not a great clicker yet. I am actually pretty pleased with all of the dogs. Excuse the yard.. we are moving today and tomorr...

Re: Does this warrant a new vet?

Agreed. Yes. You should find another vet. IF the vet you are using is leading you to ask if you should find someone else, you definitely should.

Re: Work to eat toys

I started with the Kong Genius and both dogs loved them but they didn't last I have moved on to the "wobbler" and they are lasting for all three dogs. And Maven is crazy rough with hers. Fortunately for me no one in the house eats more than 1 1/2 cups of food a serving... I can see the iss...

Re: 4 months and still no down

I would do as Jamielovesaustin suggests. I kind of went through this with the Xolo. So I spent some time with my trainer and she suggested two chairs and a broomstick.. It works and works great!!! Click treat.. yippee. Now I get random "down" where sit used to be offered. It's kind of cool...

Re: I had a very bad incident today; need help!

I hope you AND your dog get out of there ok. It is not the most forgiving place on earth. I hope you are male and that works toward your benefit. We raced there and our jock's go there.. but it can be a scary place. I prefer Dubai, but there too laws are made an upheld strictly. It's pretty black an...

Re: SA??

I don't leave them alone together. I am rarely in a different room than they are. They are ALL supervised all of the time or in crates. He gets the "life preserver" off in two days when the stitches come out. It is sort of stupid that he wears it at all. He is so bendy that he can totally ...

ok. As long as this isn't a "bad" thing.
I know he desires security. And I don't blame him.
IF he were mine I would just adapt and let him feel safe, but he's not mine...
He is doing really well, just.. I want him to do great and I don't want to be the one to screw him up more.

SA??

The Xolo is SA. When I brought him home from the shelter, he focused entirely on me. If I left a room he would scream bloody murder. It has progreesd successfully to where I can leave the room, house, etc without a peep Now he has been here about a month and has settled into crate training (with som...
