Re: 2 yr old male suddenly marking territory...???

Ok thanks - I just thought it was a weird coincidence that as soon as I got back from my trip he started doing it. I didn't necessarily think it was a "bad" behavior, I just wasn't really sure what to make of it. It makes him happy so I'll just let him keep doing it. Also a funny anecdote ...

2 yr old male suddenly marking territory...???

Before I ask my question I need to give a brief history of Max so you can see where I'm coming from. We (my boyfriend Corey and I - we live together) adopted Max when he was 7 months old. He is now 2 years old. He is an Am Staff/Irish Setter/Dalmatian mix. He was neutered very young (too young accor...

Re: Nail color or something

My Lola has the EXACT same problem with nails and it is because of stress/strain on the nails in her case. Before she was rescued, her nails had not ever been cut for the first 6-7 months of her life. They were obviously very overgrown and sensitive. The vet told me it will just take time and that t...

Re: Terrible breath but clean teeth?

What kind of food are you feeding? Low quality food is a leading cause of bad breath in dogs.

Thanks for all of the suggestions/input, I really appreciate it. I'm going to check out the other brands you guys suggested and do some pricing comparisons to figure out what will work best.

Grain-free kibble advice needed

Ok, I know the feeding issue is a big debate... and I'm not here for that, just for some advice. First, let me give you some basic info. I do not want to feed the BARF diet, for a variety of reasons. Not because I don't think it would be a good diet, it's just not for me at this point in my life. I ...

Re: Yorkville, IL

I live in Yorkville... Just posted a couple of articles in the Laws part of the forum... Maybe I should have put them here... sorry about that. Anyway - They can't pass a law so now the guy that wanted the ban is going to try to get a referrendum on the ballot for the next election. He has a whoppin...

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

Hmmmm maybe not the best idea for my first post... but oh well ;) I absolutely cannot grasp why anyone would want to mutilate their dog on purpose. I mean... would we be OK with doing that to human babies? "Oh, my son's ears are too big, I'll just chop part of them off"... Would that fly? ...

Hello from Illinois

Hi everyone. I'll do my best to introduce myself. I love to write so I apologize in advance if I compose an epic novel ;) My name is Jayme (I'm a girl, I know it's hard to tell by my name) and I live in Yorkville, IL (far western burb of Chicago) with my boyfriend of 5 years, Corey. We pretty much h...
