Re: Meet Maggie in Philly

Update!--- Maggie is getting her forever home this coming Friday!! The adopters came to the house to meet her this afternoon and they were great. We're just waiting until Friday for her to go home so that they have the whole weekend to spend with her before work on Monday. She'll have a backyard and...

Re: Local Pet Stores

Main Line area of Philadelphia: Braxton's Animal Works in Wayne/Devon (it's on Rte. 30 right on the border) They carry a full line up of premium foods (Evo, Merrick, Welleness & Wellness Core, Orijen). I can't remember all of them, but they certainly have a lot. They're also really knowledgable!...

Re: Meet Maggie in Philly

Just an update--- I have my fingers crossed, but I have a potential adopter interested in Maggie!!! From the pre-screening application he seems like a good home. I just got his information and have sent an email to reach out so he can meet Maggie (and be scrutinized by me!!). I really hope he's as g...

Meet Maggie in Philly

Hi, I'm posting this in an attempt to find a great home for my foster pit, Maggie. We're located in the Philly area, btw. Maggie is a black with white female pit; 1 year old; totally housebroken. Her original owners lost their home and dropped her at the SPCA where there is a high kill rate. Two day...

Re: Lost of Appetite

My foster girl is like this. It's gotten a lot better since I started adding salmon oil to her dry food. Also, I wasn't aware that dogs need less of premium foods. I was used to the "old" ways of feeding multiple cups of Purina or whatnot (with my parents dogs)... Now that I have my own do...

Re: 4 weeks with my foster

A little more... I'm located in the Philly suburbs and have been extremely active with cat rescue. To make a long story short, the reason why I have a foster pit is because my fiance is allergic to cats. We really wanted a dog since we both grew up with dogs, but at our stage in life full time owner...

4 weeks with my foster

Hi, I just found this forum after searching for information on hives and allergies in pit bulls. I have a foster pitt bull from our local shelter who is about a year old and a really great dog. She has a few issues such as allergies, needs more training, anxiety and this recent bout of hives. Nothin...
