Re: beginner

You are the only person I see lashing out. This forum has a very strong rescue mentality, we are not a back yard breeding forum. Hopefully your vet with tell you the same thing Curly was saying. unless your dogs have proved to be a spectacular specimen of the breed, don't breed them. There are plent...

Re: Saltwater approved collars?

dealing with stupid people and their off leash dogs is not my idea of a fun weekend. Actually going in the middle of the week, I have only run into one other dog. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I like the look of the Dublin collars, but I worry about the constant use and salt water rusting th...

Saltwater approved collars?

I recently ruined 2 of my favorite collarmania collars by taking them to the beach. (rusty hardware and the color of the fabrics has faded greatly)
Does anyone use Dublin Dog Collars? Or can suggest a collar the dogs can wear in the ocean?

Re: Yearly checkup, registration...am I paying too much $$$?

My check ups usually run $200 but I don't have to pay an office fee, and that includes flea/heart worm meds.

Re: Hiking essentials

When I go to the Silver Springs state park with the dogs, I usually bring a back pack with some granola bars for myself a couple hand fulls of kibble or treats for the dogs and water for me and the dogs. I make sure to have a foldable bowl, and just carry 3 litters of water with us and a small first...

Re: Hiking essentials

I've been looking into taking the dogs there, so I am expecting pictures and a full report. lol

I would imagine it would be an all day trip, just walking 4 miles on the street with Dexter, takes us about an hour and a half.

Re: Post neuter pic (Caution?)

Sorry for the late reply. I just stuck with a t-shirt tied around him and he did fine. His stitches will be coming out tomorrow. They are cutting into his skin and causing more issues, so a few extra days on crate rest and being on leash in his own back yard. The redness is nearly gone and the poor ...

Re: Post neuter pic (Caution?)

Yes he went back. he is now on an antibiotic and we tried a cone and he completely flipped out. Dexter started screaming and flopping around like a fish out of water, Dr. Fischer thought he would do more damage to himself with the cone than with out. He is also on strict crate rest, and only short, ...

Post neuter pic (Caution?)

http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm240/WhiskeySundays/Image01042012222640.jpg Is the redness normal? I was in the hospital the first 2 days and my mother let him run around like normal and just let him lick and chew on his incision sites. I'm a little worried about it and am thinking I should tak...

Re: Good Shampoo?

I like the Pet Head products. But my boys don't get very stinky, and are bathed maybe every 3 months.
