you def made the right choice by surgery...my boy had his one back leg done a couple years ago and the other back leg went right after....I couldn't imagine him not being able to walk on his back legs at all....

My 9 year old boy had two tplo surgies a couple years ago for his torn ligaments in his back legs...back then I asked my vet if this would ever happen in his front legs, she said it was rare.....this morning he was limping...i'm thinking he just sprained it....but then started worrying....has anyone...

OMG 9 surgeries, just when I thought 2 for my 5 year old was bad.... My boy just had the tplo surgery two days ago for his right leg, he had the left one done this past october....I agree though about 2 months of rest or living with pain....at first I thought it was going to be hard keeping him rest...

after waiting for almost a month for an appointment, my poor boy had his surgery today....I get to go and get him tomorrow....it's always nice to hear other people's experiences.... my only thing is I dropped him off at the vet's today, don't get to pick him up until tomorrow (which I understand why...

Well I brought my boy to the vet the other day and he will need surgery on his other leg :(......I haven't even taken the ramps down for him from his last surgery and my bed is still on the ground.....

I'm just glad I am able to help him and that it is not life threatening.

My dog just had the tplo surgery done at the end of October, which healed quite well after paying $3,000.....I was in tears today when I seen him limping on his other leg...I remember how hard it was to take care of him with his surgery and how sad he looked. I know my vet told me there was a 50% ch...

OMG that is terrible...my dog had tplo done in the end of October, I just took him for follow up x-rays and everything is good, I think the hardest part is keeping him confined as he is not used to being crated. I took two weeks off of work and sat with him in a small room, I also took out my bedfra...

My dog just had this surgery last wednesday and he's on omega 3 2000mg, glucosamine 1500mg, meloxicam for the swelling, cephalexin (antibiotic) and tramadol (pain killer). He's recovery period is about 8 - 12 weeks and there is a 50% when this happens in one knee that it is going to happen in the ot...
