Re: After spay?

I think Xena has gotten less calm since her spay lol It has almost been a week, no more pain meds, and we still have the stitches intact :peace: We go for short little walks to TRY to calm her down but...eh lol. I can't wait until she has her stitches taken out so I can start taking her with me on j...

Re: After spay?

Okay maybe I was unclear... My dogs are NEVER left alone together. Ever. :) and Xena hasn't been in contact with another dog at all since her surgery. When I let the others out I put her up. As for the cone, it was all I could get. I was trying to look around more but a big GSD mix was barking at Ro...

Re: After spay?

Okay well I haven't gotten any help so far but I suppose I can try one more time. I'm going to get a cone collar in a couple of hours but I was wondering if it was normal for her to start licking her girls parts excessively? She hasn't bothered the stitches yet but she keeps licking herself, which i...

Re: After spay?

She has been confined to the bedroom to avoid much activity and I've had surgery so I have been religious with the pain meds. I'm just glad she isn't so groggy any more.

Re: After spay?

Okay so Xena climbed into bed with me about 2AM and she seems to be doing better. Eating fine, drinking ok. She wasn't acting as sore. I gave her some pain meds this morning so hopefully she stays that way. No exercise right now and only going out to potty. I never knew I could worry so much.

After spay?

I was just wondering what to expect from my dog over the next few days. I picked her up this afternoon and she seemed fine I can tell she is sore but she doesn't seem to be in too much pain. She didn't want to jump on the bed so I made her a bed on the floor in my room and that's where she is now. S...

Looking for any clubs/competitions in Pensacola FL area

I'm trying to find anything and everything near me that Roxxie and I can try. I would really like to get involved in a club or two with people that could help us along the way. I'm pretty sure I found some dock diving stuff while googling, but that doesn't do anything to get me in touch with people ...

Controlling Jumping

My little five month old pup has recently developed some bad manners. When I first brought her home she was fairly tame but now she has tons of energy. I'm glad she finally perked up but I don't have a lot of experience and am having a few problems. I spend plenty of time playing fetch with her and ...

Re: Confused about local animal shelter

As far as breed bans... I don't know of any that are anywhere near my area. My shelter either has the animals spayed/neutered or requires it. You actually have to pre pay for it at the vet and bring in the receipt. I know they check about other animals... not 100% on home checks? I know the local re...

Re: Confused about local animal shelter

As unfair as it is, I can understand them wanting to cover their bottoms. I know that the shelter welcomes you to bring in any current pet to see if it gets along with a potential adoptable... Maybe I should take her in every once in awhile? Maybe I could eventually find a nice dog to rescue.... or ...

Confused about local animal shelter

Pits are not banned in my area. Actually a LOT of people around here own them. Obviously that means there are a number of them who end up in the shelter for whatever reason. So my question is... if it is perfectly legal to buy and own a pit bull in this area, why is it that the shelter will not adop...

Re: Howdy from Northwest Florida!

Ack totally forgot, I hope it's okay for me to post a fast question? Anyone who knows anything about the Razors Edge lines... What do you know about Mystikal's Playboy De Pachucos? I've seen pictures of him that someone took in person but I was hoping to find a few pictures online and instead I foun...

Howdy from Northwest Florida!

Howdy! My name is Amber. I'm 19, been out of school for about year, and I'm working full time. I'm just now getting out on my own so I finally was able to get my dream APBT. She is a sweet little four and a half month old blue baby. Her breeding may not be the best but she has an amazing personality...
