Re: Hold and Bark Videos.....

This video was taken at the end of September, we were just getting started on a B&H. We haven't bought a blind yet lol. Funny enough though, we took Benny to a Schutzhund club to practice with a different TD and the first time he ever saw a blind he did a perfect B&H (it was before we had ev...

Re: Do you take off collars for crating?

My dog always wears a collar with tags, no exception. He is microchipped, but I live with several other people and none are as diligent with him as I tend to be. If he was ever to get loose, all bets are on it would be because of one of them. If I lived alone, he might go into his crate without a co...

There is a Sacramento lure team?! If I knew my dog would chase a lure for certain, I would definitely pay to race him.

Re: People hugging strange dogs is one of my pet peeves.

At lot of people think I don't like their dogs because I don't pay to much attention to them when I first meet them. Even if my soul wants to smother them with love. lol I get this a lot too. "But I thought you liked dogs?" when I am not falling all over their dog with hugs and kisses. I ...

Oh yeah, and he picks up/carries metal objects. Someone told me once people looking for detection dogs like that trait haha. What it has to do with detection, I have NO idea.

Re: Booker gets nosy.

Yeah the price is a little steep for me, I'll definitely have to set aside some money. Thanks for the information, though! Benny has an great natural search anyway, he'd love this kind of thing. Sometimes I think he would be fun to do detection or SAR work with, his ball drive is insane :D

Where in the Bay Area is this class, and do you know of any other in Nor Cal? I'm in Sacramento, I saw Booker at the ADBA show in Martinez :)

They use carabiners to attach the handle to the leash...no thanks.

Also, I've been on the receiving end of tie-out cable burns. They suck.

Re: harness for bite work?

The harness my dog uses is from Full Grip Gear ( the shop is about 45 min away from me!). It's nice and has held up really well, but it was made for a dog probably larger than him so when he first started using it, he would choke out occasionally. Since he has got bigger and we've adjusted the strap...
