Re: New owner of a Brindle Puppy

Welcome to the forum! First off, please don't allow some folks' incredibly direct comments to run you off. They care, but can be taken the wrong (or right) way a lot of times. I took a BYB lab puppy at 6 weeks one time, WAY too young. These key weeks are what makes or breaks the pups sense of social...

Re: Dog food for dieting, one for obese dog one for tubby pit

Try Petflow.com or another similar website for home delivery dog food. It opens your options a lot for what you can get in your home town. Also consider feeding less as opposed to different? Thanks Adrianne, ill check that site out. I've always fed Lucy ~2 cups of the diamond high performance, and ...

Re: Dog food for dieting, one for obese dog one for tubby pit

great info here everyone, thank you very much. I will check these out, magnolia is so limited on what they sell that we have to go over an hour away to get anything other than Pedigree, Ol' Roy (*Vomit*), or Diamond (i've been using this, the high performance bags) if anyone else has any suggestions...

Dog food for dieting, one for obese dog one for tubby pitty:)

Hey everyone, Brody (120 pound yellow lab/golden retriever mix) woke up a few weeks ago and was limping really bad again :(. I went with my father to the vet and they said they would like to see Brody in the 90-97 pound range, due to his size/build. They put him on Hines r/d diet, anyone heard of th...

Re: Chopper Neutered : or was he? ha

HA you all trip me out...too funny!

we'll see how it turns out for ol' Chopper. :) At lunch when I took him out to go to the bathroom, he was still leaving 4 paw prints and a straight line track behind him, so as of now he still has something to be "proud" of LOLOL

Happy Friday ;)

Re: Chopper Neutered : or was he? ha

Good to hear :) It's been a long time since i've had a male that was neutered, Brody was neutered about 4 1/2 years ago and I don't ever remember his being visible after the fact.

Thanks everyone :D

Chopper Neutered : or was he? ha

Ok, dog balls, penis, balls. let's get those awkward words out there and laugh because that's all this post is about :) :D :) Chopper was neutered Monday morning (WHOO HOO!) and he's doing great, up running around and doesn't hate me anymore. The obvious first thing I noticed when I got him home was...

Re: Chopper : nervous peeing

he naturally just quit...but i'm pretty sure he'll do it again after the next dip :( red mange sucks, so expensive to treat. i'll check w/ the vet to see if he recommends any alternate forms. What were some of the names of some you have used before? Ivermectin work very well, and is it as expensive?

Chopper : nervous peeing

Chopper has always been a timid little soul. I've had him since 8 weeks old, and to my knowledge he's never had a bad experience. Since I've had him he'd get a little nervous when i'd say "no" sternfully...and would pee a little. When he did this, he would have his ears back, look very tim...

Re: Speutering of mature male/female dogs

It sounds like Canon was just being rude/ill mannered...and it's likely because he isn't familiar with kids. How old is Canon? Does he have any health conditions that would be a bad combination with anesthesia? I vote for you to do it-your dog can't get cancer in a part of his body he doesn't have,...

Re: Speutering of mature male/female dogs

understood, thanks for the info everyone. now that I think about it he really hasn't been around little kids all that much. also the past month, I have been so snowed under with work lately that our daily walks have dissapeared. Other than this, I really haven't had any issues w/ him "being int...
