Re: PLEASE HELP! Important Question!

Well, he did well yesterday (Sunday) when we left him in the crate for two hours while we went and ran our Sunday errands. No blankets in there this time, maybe that worked!! : ) Also another thing I'm noticing, he seems to be drifting away from being obedient. As in, he still knows the things he's ...

Re: PLEASE HELP! Important Question!

Yes he has had a full blood panel and a urinalysis, less than two weeks after his neuter which means it's been more than two weeks since the tests to date. We only noticed he piddled once in the kennel and peed once in the kennel before the tests, which is why I hadn't mentioned it to our vet. Since...

Re: PLEASE HELP! Important Question!

Not since his follow up after neuter. Because we took him to the SPCA for it, we wanted to make sure he had a good bill of health. He just went to the vet a little over two weeks ago for a full blood panel/urine test. Vet said he's in perfect health. I didn't think peeing in the kennel could be a me...

PLEASE HELP! Important Question!

I know I am posting this in general instead of behavior, but I really need this answered and I've noticed most of my questions go unanswered or with fewer answers if posted in behavior and training. Since neutering, our boy has been peeing the crate when we leave. He was neutered on Sept. 11, so a l...

Re: Broken Nail ARG

Yae had broken two nails, one on each front foot within two weeks of each other, despite our best effort to keep his nails trim. The first one scared us more than him because his nail looked gross, red and caked. It didn't look to be bothering him and he wasn't licking at it at all. He's a brave boy...

Re: Sneezing and sniffling BUT..

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Just gonna keep a close watch on him over the next few days to make sure he's fine. He's eating okay, playing the same and sleeping the same.. doesn't seem to be affecting him at all. We'll see!

Sneezing and sniffling BUT..

Yaeger has been sneezing/sniffling for the past day but he has no other symptoms. No watery eyes, no scratching, no back sneezing, no pawing at his nose. Just plain sniffling and the occasional (but more frequent than usual) sneeze. Nothing in his environment has changed as far as our perfumes/colog...

Behavior after Neuter?

My 2 year old pit is acting a bit unlike himself after being neutered.. maybe it was just a traumatic experience? He seemed to have peed in his kennel a bit and we don't know whether it happened when we went out to the grocery store (we've had experience with fosters with pretty bad separation anxie...

Re: Just got our boy neutered.

That's probably due to some swelling.. Yaeger's are like that once in awhile, maybe a difference in temperature? roflmao .. sometimes I do a double take because it looks as if they are still there, but you can clearly tell they're gone when he's laying down and it's flat as a pancake drooping down h...

Re: Just got our boy neutered.

Well that's why I was asking.. he had quite an "impressive" pair, people would comment on it all the time, and now it's just empty.

Poor broke Yaeger and his droopy coin purse. roflmao

Just got our boy neutered.

He's so out of it.. we're praying for a speedy recovery. Any of you have experience getting a fully developed male pit neutered? I ask because well, to be frank, he had quite a large.. ahem, pair. Now that those are gone, the skin kind of well, hangs.. droops, if you will. There's quite a bit of ski...

Re: Separation Anxiety?

No I read it which is why I'm asking for tips, it mentioned that it can develop in new settings/situations i.e. us adopting him about three weeks ago from a family that had him for 2+ years since puppyhood. He whines LOUDLY and chews at the kennel.. but any other time he's okay with sitting in it, s...

Separation Anxiety?

So Yaeger has been with us for almost a month now, and we just found out from a neighbor that when we leave he's been whining pretty bad. Plus he's already chewed two good size holes in his crate. He has this kind: http://www.pettravelcenter.com/products/detail/339/29/6" onclick="window.open(this.hr...

Re: Greenish Discharge from Genital

I'll be sure to ask on his next visit. It doesn't seem to irritate, and it's not an 'abnormal' amount. Just a little here and there, only tinted green.. I only noticed because he had his back legs splayed out flat while laying down on a white part of our rug and when he got up there was a small spot...
