Re: Introducing grown dog to the baby... Help?

I think that thread listed has this link but I think it has a lot of good info on it... http://www.dogsandstorks.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Slow introduction of baby items such as high chairs, toys, and things that the child might use on the floor such as mats or jumpers... ...

Re: Humping. "natural" behavior and to be left alone or "rud

I really appreciate all the answers! I know with Bruce, he is very non reactive to most "rude" behavior but as soon as a dog tries to hump him he will turn right around and tell him to BACK OFF :po: Because of this and other things I noticed, my initial thought was that it is not construed...

Re: Humping. "natural" behavior and to be left alone or "rud

The first search I did I came up with this recent thread on humping: http://www.pitbullforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=150491&p=1973551&hilit=Humping#p1973551" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It pretty much explains why, and how to handle it. Thanks! My search must not have ...

Humping. "natural" behavior and to be left alone or "rude"?

Okay, so I tried searching for a direct answer and couldn't really find anything. Can a trainer or someone more well versed in dog body language tell me: if a dog A is humping dog B... should you try to get dog A to quit? Essentially, is humping "okay" dog behavior? Or is it considered &qu...

Re: List of questions and advice needed.

Okay, first of I DID try to find some information on this with the search feature, but It was pulling up random posts and not good threads :) I am having some problems I need help with and I would love the advice of my pbf family. 2) How can I teach him to stay until I give him the release command ...

Re: elevated feeder

THAT is an awesome looking elevated feeder :inlove: :inlove: Most of the ones I see are pretty ugly and the ones I that I think look really nice are usually priced more than I want to spend lol You did a really great job  Maybe I'm wrong but I think there's evidence to support both sides ...

Re: What's the best Dog Chew?

You could freeze kongs with peanut butter...

Have you thought of crating them? You could give them something to chew on in their crate also. This would keep them occupied and they would obviously not chew on anything other than the chew toys since they'd be in a kennel.

Just a thought. :)

Re: PJs?

Thanks for this thread!! Bruce gets extra cold in the winter and I got him a boy's hoodie at Target that I'll put on him. I don't leave it on him alone since it has a zipper... I don't want anything to happen. I'll have to get some of these for him! Here is him with his hoodie. http://i1125.photobuc...

Re: Does and has anyone used Comfortis?

Trifexis is what we use. Works for fleas and heartworms. Comfortis didnt work for us. This works great! And we are in South MS so same problems! Interesting that Comfortis didn't work because the flea preventative "ingredient" used in Trifexis is spinosad which is the same thing that is u...

there are some good limited ingredient formulas, usually it's a protein they are allergic to and not neccessarily grains. Natural Balance has limited ingredient formulas and Acana has one as well. :goodpost: I've fed both types of food... both are great except Bruce got VERY bored with Natural Bala...

Doesn't drink enough water???

So Bruce has never been one of those types of dogs that just laps up water all the time. But I feel like lately he isn't drinking water hardly at all lately. I notice that he likes drinking the water from the water bowl outside more so than the bowl inside. Which I think is weird... But more so it s...

Re: Damien has heartworms. :(

I just called around and was able to talk to 1 vet's office. They said that without seeing him they couldn't really say much, but that they don't use the slow method either, and to wait it out, and hope that the Immiticide production gets rolling again. He did tell me about a product that I could t...

Re: Feeding Raw

You gave your dogs a whole chicken, each? That's a lot of food... When introducing raw I tend to move slowly, small pieces, spaced out, then build up.  yeah. from peoples pictures and posts I thought thats what people were doing.  if you start out only giving them a half? ...
