Re: making kibble yummy

My little dog gets a heart pill in the morning and a half an aspirin at night for his joints so I have to put something in his food to hide the pill. Plus he just won't eat unless you do. My pit bull she'll eat her food dry or with stuff in it. She's not fussy at all...she lives to eat. For my littl...

What is your feeding routine and how much time do you spend?

I realized today while making breakfast for the dogs that it's my longest chore of the day. Mealtimes. I put their kibble in their bowls and heat up some canned food to put in it. My little dog has pills I have to mix in as well to get him to eat it. Then I feed them in their spots and have to stand...

Re: Friend needs to re-home her lab\pit mix asap due to ban

He found a home. She was informed of the ban before but still got this puppy anyways. I found that out recently. I'm glad he found a home and won't be euthanized!

Re: Friend needs to re-home her lab\pit mix asap due to ban

He looks just like one. Big blocky head and pit face. Otherwise they were just going to say he was a lab but that gives it away. :(

Friend needs to re-home her lab\pit mix asap due to ban

My friend is desperately seeking a home for her 1 year old lab/pit mix. The cops showed up at her house today and told her they will be back to take him and euth him. She didn't know they were banned there. So she's desperately seeking a home for him. She doesn't want to send him to the pound as it ...

Re: Purina One Beyond dog food

Thanks for the link and info. I had seen it in stores and looked on the label and seen it didn't have corn. Had been curious about it and glad I have a link to read about it. I am thinking about trying it out! Thanks again!!

Re: joints clicking

I had read online that when you can hear the joints click in dogs its' sometimes the start of hip dysplasia. I would recommend a vet visit immediately before anything gets any worse. And I also would stop the running until you find out what's causing this.

Hip Dysplasia? (Sp?)

I was wondering if this sounds like hip dysplasia... I noticed the last few days Peaches has been having problems in her back end. It's been mostly when it's really cold out. When we go upstairs to go to bed she goes really slowly...like it's a lot of work. Tonight she couldn't do them at all. She c...

Re: Is this common after a rabies shot?

She happily ate her supper tonight with no problems. She just is sleepy and not as hyper as I'm used to. It's sad when the hyperness drives me nuts but when she's not her hyperactive self I know something is wrong.

Is this common after a rabies shot?

Peaches just got her rabies shot today. She was perky and happy all morning. She got her shot and after that she just lays around. Slept in the truck all the way home. Now just laying around. Her ears are hot to the touch. She just isn't her usually jumping around energetic self. I was wondering if ...

Blood Transfusion question...

I was reading the other thread about Tigger's transfusion...I was curious. Is there a place where you take your dog to give blood? Or is that something you can do right at your vet? I would be interested in taking my girl in to give blood if it meant helping another dog out so he/she can live. I was...

Re: Licking front legs

A friend had said those two as well but also said it could be a vitamin definciency? When I look online I get all sorts of different things. I have to take her in at the end of the month for Rabies and update of shots so hopefully they can help too.

Licking front legs

Is it common for them to lick their front legs a lot? I'm not sure if it's something I should take her to the vet for or if it's just something common. She doesn't do it for long periods. Usually when she's laying on the bed or just came in.
