Re: Aspiration Pneumonia

I hope the surgery works for your dog. Sounds like she is dealing with the main side effect...
I had a dog suspected of having LP go into respiratory distress before we could do the scoping to confirm.
It was the worst day of my life, watching a dog die like that....

Re: I need help not a bashing

[ I just couldn't handle the stress of putting my own baby through the procedure after having seen what I have seen. It DOES change your outlook when you DO have a puppy die on the table getting their ears done. I worked for a kennel where I had dozens of crops done over a period of 12 years. We lo...

Re: When did weight pull with bull breeds catch on?

The first wp's were held at sled races, just for fun, obviously involving only the sled dog breeds.Started around the 1970's.. Then a couple of people had decided to create the first official wp association(1984?), called IWPA.(International weight pull Association). They were open for all breeds wi...

Re: Seriously?!?!? Tanner Bean has cancer

I hope the old guy is okay and this will be the end of his surgeries.

He IS of a great age and if it was me, I would not ask him to go through much more.

Re: Sqiushy lump on head...

My dog had that, in the exact same spot - turned out to be a cyst that was caused by upside-down skin cells. They cause the hair to grow down instead of up. Mid-line dermoid cyst. I've seen them in certain families of Am Stafs. Sometimes they stay small and never cause a problem -- other times they...

Re: crab grass

Anybody else's dog here LOVE eating crab grass? Greta doesn't eat normal grass, just the crab grass. Same here. Mine don't like the regular lawn grass, but will eat the wider, sharper-bladed grasses. They aren't in my lawn area, so I will go to a weedier patch on the fringes of my property to pick ...

Expectations for Patrick....

I would like to hear from any vets or vet techs on the board who can explain to me what kind of complications would be expected for Patrick the Pit Bull as he recovers. Those pictures are the worst I've ever seen and I, like so many others, wonder how he was even alive, what happens to the organs wh...

Re: Hi again

Probably not as old as me! Anyway, yes, I was one of the more outspoken members here and caused a ruckus more than once in Miscellaneous.... I got busy on other boards and I dunno, just thought I'd come back here and see how things were going.. Changed my name because there was such a hassle when I ...
