Re: Coats and PJs......

Ajax loves to snuggle in the winter and gets easiky chilled. I can perfectly fine in a tank too and long pants but Ajax will be trying to burrow deep into the covers. I tend to encourage the snuggles because he gives off crazy amounts of body heat!

Re: Can exercising a young dog be dangerous?

Ajax is six months old and we run a little bit here and there. It's never more than a few minutes at a time and it's mostly on dirt, but he loves being able to jog along beside me. We started taking him on short walks (10-15 minutes) when he was about 12 weeks old and up to date on his shots. From t...

Re: Purdue Vaccine Study

Ajax has had all his puppy shots (he's five months old now), so can I just ask for the three year vaccines when he goes back for more shots? I'm not sure if my vet normally suggests boosters every year, but I definitely don't want to over vaccinate him. I want to do what's best for him so if a boost...

Re: Annoying vets, leaky puppy butt, and diet/raw feeding

I would certainly want my vet to look at my puppy before giving advice on how to treat him, even if they have already seen him once. It would actually worry me more if they didn't want to see my puppy before giving advice. It's one thing to describe things over the phone (or the internet), but it's ...

Re: How to Make a Dog Vomit

I just had to do this yesterday when Ajax ate a sponge. I still don't know how he got it but by the time I showed up he has eaten the entire thing. I called the vet and he said that it would be best to induce vomiting since the sponge could possible swell in his stomach. The vet mentioned hydrogen p...

Re: 2 Pit Bull mix PUPPIES for adoption

Yeah, I really shouldn't come to this section because one of these days there's going to be a dog available in the Alabama area and I'm not going to be forced to get them. And that would just be terrible . . . 8)

Re: Picky Eater!

I have a picky eater too, but once I switched to Wellness puppy food and stopped free feeding he got rid of some of that! If he's really good though I'll give him a spoonful of plain yogurt in his food at dinner time! :)

Re: Sleeping all the time

Ajax is four months old and he only takes a short, one hour, nap around noon and then a two to three hour nap in the evening before sleeping all night. He gets a thirty to forty-five minute walk in the morning and fifteen minute walk at night. The rest of the time he's got the voomies or he sits dow...

Hi, everyone!

Hi! My name is Courtney and I am a married 21 year old from Southern Alabama! I have had dogs my entire life, most of which were rescues and mutts of all sizes, shapes, and colors. I got married in December 2010 and we both wanted a dog to complete our little family. We started doing some research a...
