Re: humping
I would just do a "leave it" type command. He is obviously over stimulated. I don't have a problem with crating him in that situation to let him wind down, but make sure he doesn't interpret the crating as a punishment for the humping otherwise you will have crating problems in the future.

42 lbs is not abnormally small for a female pit bull by any stretch of the imagination. She is a cutey though.

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts
They still aren't being clear on what a "pit bull" is, though, nor how to determine if it's "pure bred" or not. Yeah. I don't know how to read the decision now. Since technically there isn't a pure breed called a "pit bull." The closest thing would be the American Pit ...

Re: how many of you have dogs that fight ?
I have a 1.5 year old female and a male that is probably about 7 months. They have lived together for the last three months. They haven't got into any fights and seem to get along fairly well. But I would never leave them alone and unsupervised because you never know what would happen.

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts
Sort of good news. In a surprising move the Maryland Court of Appeals over turned its pit bull decision in part. So the motion for reconsideration was granted in part and denied in part. The part they overturned was including pit bull mixes or crosses in their opinion. So while there is still strict...

Re: Am Veterinary Med Assn ruling against Raw Pet Foods
I don't know...maybe a little bacteria is good for you? One of the many things that stuck from my nutrition course at UCSD was when the professor said "Please, please people let your kids eat dirt." We all laughed, but it has proved true when I look at my friends' children (and pets). Tho...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts
I don't know how the ruling not being in effect helps landlords. In the underlying case the landlord wasn't protected despite the ruling not even being in existence.

Looks like they are going for strict liability for all dogs regardless of breed.

Getting him a little more tired and hungry before the training session may be what he needs.

I don't care about playing hard, my concern is the 20-30 little scabs Lily has all over her chest, neck and face.
