Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

Alright, since you're not getting what I'm saying, I'll put it in simple terms. People dont give a flying chocolate about laws. Regardless of whether it bans breeding or promotes responsible breeding. The crappy breeders will do it regardless of laws in place. People will do whatever they please. W...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

Really? You don't think? Have you even studied legislation or policy? If the law states "only healthy, vaccinated dogs should be bred". Then we need to define those terms. In the federal government and in California, the legislative branch writes the laws. So you are right in that the law...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

I think before anyone could think about raining in the BYB's the puppy mill problem would need to handled first. *sigh* Has the though ever occurred to any of you that the average person just doesn't really care that much about the plight of animals? I'm not saying that they condone abuse or neglec...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

It may seem like a simple enough task, but when you get into it in depth, there would be a million different variables that would have to be addressed. What kind of food is acceptable for a dog? how much space does each dog require to be comfortable(this would obviously vary with size, which would take...

*sigh* Has the though ever occurred to any of you that the average person just doesn't really care that much about the plight of animals? I'm not saying that they condone abuse or neglect of them, just that there are more important things in this world. If I could save one person from a life of misery...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

there are NO laws for this... So it has to start SOMEWHERE... The law that you hold in the highest regard started from nothing. As could this one. There are many laws that cover thing such as how animals are kept, how often they are to be fed,and what you are expected to provide as far as medical ca...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

The point is that a law would be a great thing if it could be enforced and that we need to at least try. Leash laws and animal abuse laws aren't doing anything to cut down on breeding. There are plenty of backyard breeders that keep their dogs leashed and don't abuse their animals. There should be ...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

I honestly think that owning a dog is a privileged like driving a car. Because of the abuse levels out there, I think that a permit or something of the work enabling you to not only become a breeder but to actually own a animal would be a wonderful Idea. Have like a 3 strike deal and once your perm...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

Your so damn disrespectful. Its only a matter of time moderaters ban you because of your constant rude comments. No, this is not illogical, BSL is illogical. This is a healthy step in helping the breed, much better than BANNING. Many rational people will agree that this is a good idea, and a much b...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

I don't need the government overseeing what I do with my property in my home. And I'm certainly don't want my tax dollars paying the salaries of people who make sure two dogs humping are only doing so in the most optimal of environments. I dont see whats wrong with taking action for responsible bree...

Re: A Law or Restriction on breeding?

ALSO, id like to add. I can buy a gun as my property, doesnt mean I can go shoot in the air all I want, or shoot it wherever I want, or shoot it at anybody i want. Laws are to do nothing but help keep responsibilities within something that is taken advantage of a lot. Dogs fall under "property...
