I understand, she has improved alot she's practically the same as she was before we moved. so me and hurley got moved in into my new townhome in charlotte yesterday, and she is terrified. she back to being skiddish/cautious again. shes never lived in a house with steps before so she didnt know how to go up and down them, she tried to jump them the first time. Is she a fearful dog? If so,...

It's very important to work on the bond you two do(or don't) have. Build one. Her bonding to dogs is not ideal. thats ridiculous! theres no reason to beat a dog :po: especially if you have a rescue or fearful dog beating them will only make their situation worse, i would crate hurley when ever she was bad, she KNOWS whens she done something bad and when i see it i just say her name slow and firm and she runs ...

Well when I used to work at the vet I had to learn alot about body language, I can tell when she's scared or uncomfortable, she's never shown any signs of aggression not once in the whole 9 months I've had her, other than someone walking by the fence when she's at home, but if they came in the gate ...

on a side note, we believed that she was bred as a fighting dog by some drug dealers along with her rest of her litter and parents who couldnt be rescued by the rescue group i got hurley from because they were too aggressive :( , and after ive started reading "The Lost Dogs" it blows my mi...

making progress!

i dont if who all saw my intro threads or anything about hurley, but shes a rescue dog who was very shy and timid when i first got her, and she improved through out the first few months that i had her, and then just kind of hit a comfortable stage, where she's fine at home loves everyone here loves ...
