Re: Orthopedic Vet/Surgeon Recommendations in Portland?

Hiya SD-

After doing some research of my own here in the Rose City, Cascade Vet Referral Center came up quite a bit, but with your recommendation I will ask my vet if he could refer me to them to take a look at Jake.

Thanks so much for the feedback.

Dogs4jen-

Yes, me too.

Orthopedic Vet/Surgeon Recommendations in Portland?

Hello Fellow PBF Members- So something I've always dreaded may have happen. Several weeks ago, Jake lost his traction on our wood floor and slipped. Since then he sometimes would limp on his left back leg for a couple of steps and be normal. We took him to our vet and he said give him some bed rest ...

Age and Muscle Definiton

Hello Fellow PBF members- APBTs are stereotypically well defined, tight, well fit athletic dogs. But as they age (espeicially those in their teens) do they slowly lose their muscle definition and begin to look smooth or will they keep their fit look as long as they continue to receive lots of excerc...

Re: Healthy vitamins?

Yup, I agree with most of the posters here.

A good diet (Jake's on raw), salmon oil, kelp, glucosamine and an occasional raw egg is primarily his diet.

I'm pretty sure he is more fit and healthy than me

Good Luck,

Re: Pigs Ears.

Hiya White0nr1ce- Pigs ears are fine in moderation, but please get the ones from a holistic/natural dog food place and not the ones in a grocercy isle. I heard the chemicals used on non holistic ones can cause upset tummies  Also, give bully sticks and cow hooves (you can fill these with peanut...

Re: Gentle Itch Relief

Try a cortizone cream.

Jake was itchin a bit a couple of days ago below his belly with his back legs, then my wife rubbed some cortizone cream on his underside and now no more itches :headbang:

Good Luck,

Fasting?

Hello Fellow PBF Members- What do you folks think about fasting and how many of you do it and do you see any benefits to your furkids? This question was posed here 5 years ago and it got positive feedbacks, but I was wondering if things have changed since then? From that same old post, there was a g...

Re: Bad Farts?

Unfortunately, Jake's gas bombs are always a killer :crybaby:

Which means I forgot to give him some yogurt lately lol

Any chance there is something new added to Grendel's diet?

Hey Fellow PBF members-

Thanks to all those who responds

If Dr. Bartage has dogs, I'm curious to find out what he feeds them. Hmmmm . . . . .

Thanks for the Readers Digest version of the seminar
