I would definitely go back to the vet and at least let them run something on the ear discharge to see exactly what it, and what meds he should be on. My girl has to be on an oral AND something I squirt in her ear for hers to clear up all the way. And make sure to get rechecked when your done with th...

I am going through the EXACT same thing with my girl Jada who is only 4. Even though I work at my vets, I've still paid over $500 to figure out what is wrong with her. The beginning of Dec she was lame. Took her in, did xrays and the whole ordeal. Saw that she has somewhat poorly formed hips(ie, hip...

Take a tour!! Meet the vets! Ask the following questions... -is the facility clean and well lit? -do they have dedicated surgery rooms? -do they encourage the 3 year vaccination policy? -do they educate on socialization, deworming, heartworm, microchipping?? -is the exam thorough? -are you comforta...

When we travel to dog shows we use crates in the car. I prefer to use midwest(fold up wire...) rather than vari-kennels which seem to be smaller at the base. The midwest are great because you can fold them up and carry them to the hotel room. Just depends on your car as to how many you can fit unfol...

PIG EARS ARE BADDDDDDD. When I first got Jada, 3 days after having her, I had to rush her to the e-vet on a Sunday afternoon because she was lethargic, vomiting, diarrhea....a tiny piece of pig ear almost got impacted, luckily she threw it back up...after $400 of tests! The money wasn't an issue.......

What do you guys use for dog laundry??
I'm using Tide Free right now, but it doesn't always get the dog funk out...especially if they run in their crates before I can grab them to dry them off....yuck!

I plan on getting a wireless fence speficially to keep the dogs out of the horse pastures...they go into eat the horse poop! Some more negatives..... -if a gopher/mole whatever eats through it, you have NO idea where the fence is broken...so if you have a significant amount of fencing...takes foreve...

Jada really only likes pit bulls.....it's pretty bizzare. She will tolerate other breeds usually, but she's stuck up, and doesn't really play with them. She's also color specific...she likes blue/black dogs, and isn't crazy about red dogs...although Lilly is red, and Jada LOVES her.

That's just how they play. Lil is 9 mo and Jada is 3 years....and when they're too tired from playing all day to stand up....they'll lay across from eachother and bite eachother. I don't think its painful to them, or they WOULD stop it. Lil will get Jada's ear every once in a while, and Jada yelps, ...

J and Lil both bark constantly at stuff. We always have 'strange' people(my sister's friends, she's home from college for the summer) coming in and out of the house, sometimes knocking, sometimes not. The dogs bark like CRAZY at them, until they see the person, and no matter who it is....they stop a...

Take him to the vet to make sure he doesn't have a UTI.

When my puppy was only 4.5 months old she couldn't always hold it for 6-10 hours...I was always getting up once or twice in the night to let her potty.

I just added another dog(my 2nd) to the household. Jada's been alone for over 2 years, but they do really well. Lilly is 8 months. They get along great for now, luckily. I try to take preventative measures so they'll hopefully never have a *good* reason to not get along. They're NEVER out along unle...
