Re: Fixed dogs' nutritional needs?

I've seen Royal Canin spayed/neutered specific cat food formulas at work, but hadn't seen anything for dogs... I also see this as a marketing gimmick, but I'm also concerned that it perpetuates the myth that altered pets get fat and lazy... All of my dogs are altered (I won't have one that isn't)......

Re: 9 Month Old Thor Has a Luxating Patella... Yay...

He limps when he's too active... He tends to be a little chunky, so we're keeping his weight down and we're also giving him joint supplements... As soon as I get my tax return I'll make an appointment with the orthopedic vet...

Re: How to train a Service/ESA pit bull

Thanks! I had a vague idea of what to do, but needed a little guidance. I figured letting her be a normal puppy would be good for her. Scout was a year and a half old when I got her and she'd had almost no training whatsoever. I worked with her a lot to get her as good as she was... And she slept in...

How to train a Service/ESA pit bull

*** This is really long and a little rambly, please bear with me :-) *** I've had problems with severe depression and anxiety for a long time. Back before I had my son, there were times when I'd lock myself in my room for days at a time and barely get out of bed. Of course for the past 9 years, Jack...

Re: I need help not a bashing

Thanks, he's really filling out and getting broad... He attracts a lot of attention and it makes me a little nervous sometimes that someone might steal him... Heck, I had a random stranger offer $1500 for him... 8l

Re: I need help not a bashing

All I did for Dallas when I had his ears done last spring was give him his meds and put a little Neosporin on his ears twice a day. I distracted him with a piece of hotdog in one hand so I could put the ointment on his ears with the other. He wore a cone for the first few days so that he wouldn't sc...

Returning After a Long Time Away

Hey guys, I was a moderately active member here some time ago but left for personal reasons. Things have settled out for me now and I'd like to re-join the forum. I formerly went by the name "southern_comfort", but I think I'll go by just plain old "rachel" now :) I have my 2 APB...
