Re: Bella's developed bathroom issues

I can try, she's very very finicky on where she goes #2, when we moved in this house a year ago it took her several days to go at all because it wasn't "her yard"...maybe trying spraying everything with a hose in that area to help remove any smell from another animal? The neighbors dog doe...

Re: Bella's developed bathroom issues

No poop in the spot, i thought of that as well, cleaned everything up on Friday and again lastnight to make sure, not a single drop. I feel bad, i know she has to go with her pacing and zoomies through the house.

Bella's developed bathroom issues

Long story short, Bella suffers from IBD which we have under control for the most part, she still has the occasional small episode if she happens to sneak food from the counter or is stressed out over something, but I am able to get her back on track pretty quickly. Last week a few times when I eith...

Re: Sick Bella

Also, I do remember the vet also stating she did not believe it was HG because it had been an on and off issue for almost a week that had completely disappeared. All dogs are different, but she said if it was HG she would have been deathly ill after about 2 days. Her symptoms started on a Friday, an...

Re: Sick Bella

She did mention HGE, but decided against it because of how well Bella seemed, no fever, still jumping and playing, very spirited, etc. She said that most dogs with HGE come in on a stretcher and that it was 90% chance it was a stress related outbreak or something she ate, no idea what was stressful ...

Re: Sick Bella

I was just wondering if it could be a food issue too, since Taste of the Wild had a recall a while ago. I think salmonella was the problem, so that probably would have been checked for at the vet's. The recall was only because of the effect on humans, had no effects on a dogs health. Basically if I...

Re: Sick Bella

Yes, they did the whole 9 yards, although they didn't want to since she was not acting sick, i asked for the tests for my piece of mind. I did look at the "low fat diet" thread as well as did some looking into IBS in dogs, it ALL sounds like my Bella. It all makes more sense now, although ...

Re: Sick Bella

Old Mother Hubbard makes charcoal biscuits, I don't know if that's the sort of thing your vet meant though. Boy that sounds like a scary episode. I will at least take a look, thank you! As for the episode, I was in tears the entire time we were at the vet, I even slept on the couch with her and too...

Re: Sick Bella

No rawhides, not only do they not agree with her, I hate watching and listening to her try to swallow big pieces and hack it back up. Only thing she is given are the cow/horse tibia/fibula bones with peanut butter in them. They didn't do an x-ray because she was still using the bathroom without any ...

Re: Sick Bella

Update on Bella. All was well after i posted this thread until last Monday, I got a call on my way home from work with concerns from my fiancé, apparently he sent me a picture of what came out of Bella (not sure what end), it looked like strawberry jam all over the floor. I immediately called the ve...

Re: Sick Bella

I called the vet first thing this morning, and they directed me to keep an eye on her for the next few days since it's not a daily issue and she has continued to eat and drink, as well as she is still her in your face all the time self, even on the off days. If not better 100% by Friday, I already h...

Sick Bella

It's been some time since I've been on here, and I did the normal "google" and forum searches for a possible cause. But on and off for a week now, Bella has had some mild vomiting, most looks as if she has been eating and drinking too fast (food comes back up completely solid, she has been...

Re: Ants + poision = ?? + Cat poop

[quote="jamielvsaustin"]We get a lot of bugs in our house (sounds gross) but very rarely an ant. Usually spiders (after it rains), gnats, mosquitoes, love bugs and other annoying Florida bugs. There's a bug truck that comes around our neighborhood every once in a while and sprays this nast...

Re: Ants + poision = ?? + Cat poop

I heard if you mix equal parts of water and dish soap and spray it on the ants, they loose their sense of smell and won't return to the food source. I assume it's meant to be used when you see a train/trail of ants. And I also assume that you'd have to kill the ants in addition to disorienting them...

Re: Ants + poision = ?? + Cat poop

I hate to say it, but we really don't have any other place to put 2 liter boxes. The bedroom has a dog gate at the door, but she can still even squeeze through thr cat door at times to get in. And it's really not fair to keep the bathroom door shut while she is out roaming and making the cats hold i...
