Davis in Baltimore

Davis was pulled from the shelter at the very last minute by a group of dedicated volunteers now dubbed "TEAM DAVIS". Team Davis has been paying out of their own pockets for him to be in board-and-train. His behavior has improved a lot and now we just need a rescue or adopter to take over ...

Re: Another dog death blamed on dog treats...

my local petsmart has a HUGE display of the milo chicken jerky AND waggin train as soon as you walk into the store. i internally fume every time i see it. i feel like it only went up after the recent recall/media awareness.

Re: too skinny?

Omg! If he had a white spot on his nose, and white toes he would be a spitting image of my Vi. :) The spine showing is more from the way he is laying than anything else. He doesn't look too skinny at all to me from that pic. it shows like that all the time, no matter what position he is in. i guess...

Re: too skinny?

What DNA test did you use? I've never seen any come back as 100% anything! He's very handsome - I don't think he's too skinny at all, but as others have said, the picture is tough to read. i used wisdom mixed breed. i was SO surprised when it came back 100% too, trust me. a page full of wee little ...

too skinny?

here is a photo of our boy. his DNA test came back as 100% AST. he has been right around 55 lbs. since we got him, 3 years old. i know it is OK for ribs to be visible, but you can see all the knobs of his spine. is that normal? should we increase his food intake? he is currently getting 3.5 cups of ...

Re: What type of dog food/diet do you feed your dogs?

Nutro grain-free Lamb for all the dogs. It was Nutro grain-free venison, but that is several dollars more. we only recently went grain-free with the dogs, i felt guilty after reading horrible reviews and stories.

maybe try benadryl in case it is some sort of allergy? i agree with the no licking thing - keep them as dry and clean as possible.

Re: Got some bad news :(

Monty has the best possible home and will be very loved until the end of his days. Like everyone has said, how unfortunate it took the vets so long to figure this out but you KNOW what is wrong now and can focus on spoiling him rotten.
