Congrats! Maybe you could somehow leave a msg for the man who owned him and see if he'd still like to have the dog visit sometimes.. Being he's older and the dog was well maintained even after he left I'm sure he thinks of him daily. Just a thought. :)

Does it look cool? IMO Yes, it looks awesome... is it humane and worthwhile to the dog? IMO no. Ear cropping also makes the dog look meaner IMO which doesn't necessarily help with the BSL. A dog is your animal. It's also your responsibility to take care of it. Ear cropping all though a very minimal ...

I'm not one to give precise advice but that 's definitely not how you would handle a pit bull. You are feeding a fight or flight type of action around him. You being the only one to "stare" down your dog is not going to help out your 1 yr old when your gone. You need to seriously consider ...
