Re: Just send prayers, please.

She is ok. I'm extremely stressed, and extremely sensitive about her health, and I think I'm really being a hypercondriac towards Kitty right now. She is having a slight reaction to the sutures on her belly, but we are just going to the incision clean and watch it closely. She is eating fine now, I ...

Re: Just send prayers, please.

I think something might be wrong with Kitty. She was doing really well last night, I gave her a few bites of food before bed and she seemed comfortable and semi content. This morning she is hunched over, she keeps making this coughing/gagging noise, and she absolutely refuses any food. She drank a t...

Re: Just send prayers, please.

Here she is this morning. She's feeling better, and I think we've finally replenished the good bacteria in her stomach enough to beat the vomiting. I wasn't able to give her oral antibiotics for a couple days because she couldn't keep them down, but she's been doing ok *knock on wood* last night and...

Re: Just send prayers, please.

Look who is home! She was very excited to be home, she wanted to jump on and greet the other dogs but of course I didn't let her. She was a little bummed out by being put in a crate, but her appetite was muuuuuch improved at her evening meal--she was barely eating a half a 5.5oz can at a time, and s...

Re: Just send prayers, please.

She is doing better this evening. We gave her a small amount of torbutrol injectable first thing and it knocked her butt out fast. She was in a lot of pain, though, so I'd rather her be flat out from drugs, pain free and sleeping, than stiff with pain. As the day progressed, though, she started acti...

She's recovering right now. She is still hooked up to fluids, and will probably stay at the clinic for a couple days t...

Just send prayers, please.

Kitty is not doing well. This morning she wasn't acting right, her belly was a little bloated and she was holding it very tense. She did have diarrhea this morning, but I thought it could be a side affect of the pain meds she is on. She didn't want her breakfast, which is really unusual--she is like...

Re: What type of dog food/diet do you feed your dogs?

Mexi, Umah, Marsha and Kitty are all on TOTW High Prairie, and I recently switched Conway to Science Diet Healthy Advantage Puppy kibble. I know how most everyone feels about SD, and it really isn't the greatest as far as ingredients go, but he hasn't had any loose stools since I started him on it. ...

Re: Chronic diarrhea.

That's Conway too, GoingPostal! I mean, poop stinks anyway but when he has diarrhea its like toxic. I have a pretty strong stomach but sometimes I have to fight off the gag reflex!

Allison, I will ask about that tomorrow.

Re: Chronic diarrhea.

Excuse me, that isn't true. We also have Diamond Naturals, so I will try that if the Blue Buffalo doesn't seem to work out.

Re: Chronic diarrhea.

He's always been on TOTW High Prairie. Some people on another forum suggested switching brands entirely, so tomorrow I'm going to go pick up a bag of blue buffalo (the only other good brand we have here in Gallup) and see how he does on it.
