Re:

I agree Sarah. I'm waiting for someone to make it vogue for people to start cropping their ears. Or notching them to identify with particular "groups". Sounds barbaric doesn't it? Kind of like branding, pretty extreme but if someone wants to, what ever. The difference is, we have self awa...

Starting PMR-- Questions

So I am beginning PMR at the end of this month. I found a great supplier with reasonable prices and odd meat items (beef tongues, lungs, testicles, penis, tripe etc.... all free range, FDA inspected, grass fed). I was just wondering what your opinions are on kijiji scores? Is there a risk? There are...

Re: Personality change after spay?

Anesthesia is low-risk for most dogs, and pre-anesthetic bloodwork really helps. Anesthesia is less about the drugs and more about the level of care and monitoring during the procedure. Ask things like... Will she have an IV catheter in place during the procedure? (should be yes) Will she be intuba...

Re: Personality change after spay?

That is a silly question - they don't gain weight or change personalities short of normal growth-related changes! Yes, they may be less aggressive and may mark less but the dog you know and love doesn't change just because it's speutered. I wasn't wondering if she would become more or less aggressi...

Re: Personality change after spay?

I've had four females go through spays and have known many, many more. It did not change any of their personalities. I think that myth came about because dogs change as the become adults. The personality changes with or without the reproduction parts. This. We do spays every day at the clinic where...

Personality change after spay?

So I have researched the spay procedure extensively to make certain that I want to go through with this surgery. What I found lead me to believe that I should allow her to mature more then 6 months before putting her through this procedure. So she is now almost 18 months and has gone through 2 heat ...

Re: Hello - Help with Pharaoh Pit Mix

Your pup could be so many different mixes. Pharaoh hound wouldn't be likely as they aren't a particularly common breed but I suppose it depends on your area. Kind of looks like a Plott hound mix to me! Gorgeous.

Re: Newbie!

Well Ruby's gotcha day was almost one year ago. She is a rescue that 3 other homes didnt want BEFORE she turned 5 months old. She had demodex and was quite fearful. She has come a LONGGG way! She is now almost a year and a half old and while still having some timidity issues, she is far more outgoin...
