Re: Mapleridge, BC, Canada

I'm really glad this did not pass. How ridiculous! $200 per dog? It's outrageous that good dogs and responsible owners are continually punished in this type of way, BUT when we have people dragging dogs behind cars, beating them or giving them chemical burns, they are let off with a slap on the wrist.

Re: Resource guarding

Our newest addition, Cache, seems to do this with toys. At first, it seemed like it was just with the stuffed toys inside the house until we were in the back acreage and I was playing frisbee with her and Thalia. They got into a pretty good scrap when Thalia got the frisbee. I broke them up and hid ...

Re: B.A.R.F. 101

We have been doing raw for a few days now and the dogs seem to really love it! I have yet to find some really reasonably priced meat though; the cheapest I have found so far was at T&T Supermarket in Coquitlam. Anyone in the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley area know of any butchers/markets? All of ...

Jumping

Hello everyone, My 1 year old staffy, Thalia, and my newly adopted 3 year old blue nose, Cache, both jump up on people when they're excited, when they're greeting people at the door and they will both jump up and sit on your lap on the couch. It seems like no matter what technique I try, they contin...

She is! Her dad is Rex and her mom is Claire. Ah, you're from Vancouver! I'm about an hour or so, depending on traffic, from Vancouver.

Hello from BC

Hey, I'm Kristi and I'm new to the forum. I am 23, engaged and live in British Columbia, Canada. I have 1 Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Her name is Thalia and she just turned 1 year old last month. I also just adopted a blue nose pit bull off of Craigslist. Her name is Cache and she is 3 years old. I ...
