Topic: Natures Variety.. Confused on amount to feed

Sounds like you're feeding him roughly 3 cups a day. So long as he isn't losing weight, or looking too skinny then you should be fine with that. When I was feeding Nature's Variety I was feeding 2 cups a day and it worked well at maintaining his weight, he was close to 40 pounds, maybe a few pounds ...

I'm just glad I have options for getting it locally so I don't have to deal with their customer service.

No Nature's Variety at all, other than Raw Instinct? It's always been a recommended food on any dog related forum, wonder why it didn't make this list?

Never tried the raw instinct, Kadin does well on all the others though. I think he prefers the Salmon, but we usually just switch every week.

baking chocolate is the worst, milk chocolate can also be lethal to them. I think the safest chocolate for a dog to have is white chocolate.

My oldest dog won't eat the food with water on it, she wrinkles her nose and steps away from the food. Our puppy isn't too picky, if it fits in his mouth he'll eat it.

Kadin is 8 months and just barely hits 40 lbs...hasn't seemed to grow height wise since he was 6 months old...and has only put on about 4 or 5 pounds since then.

Sorry about the late reply, she did and nothing was found. So, she was either being picky or the change of weather got to her. She's eating her kibble again though.

I'll definitely be taking her in on Monday, just seems weird that she wouldn't be acting differently if she wasn't feeling well enough to eat.

She gets fed two times a day, once in the morning and again in the evening. We do have another dog, but it doesn't change how she acts. If our other dog approaches her bowl of food she'll run over to it put her nose in the bowl but won't eat it. One thing that I did notice is since she stopped eatin...

Koya was the same as Sugar from about 18 months to 2 years. I have no idea why she would choose to eat some days, and not others, but she just wasn't intrested in her food. She remained regular, and at a healthy weight. Eventually, she grew out of it, and now is a pig. What type of food are you fee...

Maybe she's gotten so many other goodies, that she just doesn't like her kibble anymore??? That's what it sounds like to me, too. You say she begs and you give her "people food", so why should she eat HER food? And treats? Our dogs eat kibble, they don't get people food. If you stick to g...
