thanks for all the positive thoughts our way. Zoe came back this afternoon and her tail looks so good and cute. I felt so bad for the first few hours then the anesthetic wore off and she is back to being ZOE! I just hope the e-collar stays on while I am at work tomorrow! [/img]

bye to Zoe's tail

I feel a mixture of sadness and happiness today as poor Zoe is getting her tail docked.... I did a quick search and see others have had the same issues with tails cracking and bleeding. I have been debating for a long time on what to do and after speaking with the vet we decided this was best in the...

. . . Corey doesn't like dogs older than pups usually? He just seems to "freak out" when he sees some other dogs, he has been fine with older dogs in the past..ie my bf's parents adult bulldog, and he is great with zoe now, I think he just needs to be introduced slowly than he accepts the...

It isn't even my zoe that I am worried about when it comes to DA..although enough bad manners from others (not that hers are the bestest) makes are a tad upset...like a dog jumping on her too much...it is my mutt corey....I think he just was really under sociallized when we got him....Dolce is beaut...

Maybe not allowing dogs to lick others..especially hands would stop them from getting it...and not allowing them to lick other objects where they are visiting.

Wash your hands :))

that is sad that that happened to her dog. C-diff is not a disease though, it is a bacterial infection, and yes crazy contagious as has been mentioned. It does go away with antibiotics, and I find it odd that they beleive that because of c-diff the dog develped a pulmonary embolism...but if that is ...

for the immediate time...prior to taking your dog to the vet if you think there is a temp, you could cool her down externally, like a cool cloth or cool bath. but don't allow her to become cold. and take her to the vet soon if she is experiencing a fever generally fever's are signs of infections of ...

Why aren't they supposed to lick/chew on their feet?

I mean if it was obsesive I understand

Zoe chew on her back foot...and leg, with her it just seems to be a behaviour, she chews on it when she gets really excited, she never leaves any marks and doesn't do it for too long.

When my girl was younger she had flakey skin, the vet told us that because she was growing so fast that her body may be just using the energy for the rest of it and leaving the skin till last...she got better as she got older. Just a thought..if could be so many of the above mentioned things as well
