Re: Michigan - STATEWIDE BAN

My reply from the email I sent to my representative: "Dear Diana: Thank you for contacting me to share your thoughts on a proposed pit bull ban. I appreciate hearing from residents as part of the democratic process. As you may know, House Bill 4714 was introduced by Rep. Tim Bledsoe on June 7, ...

Michigan - STATEWIDE BAN

I have not seen this posted yet...sorry if I missed it, but it's very important to write your legislature. I found this on another forum: House Bill 4717 was introduced yesterday 06/06/11 by State Representative Tim Bledsoe. To find your state Rep: http://www.house.mi.gov/mhrpublic/" onclick="window...

Showing a dog that's fixed?

I know that many guidelines call for dogs to be intact, however I would really like to one day show my dog. She is only 7 months right now and I plan to have her fixed at the end of summer. She comes from a champion lineage and has already been told by vets how great looking she is. I would love to ...

Re: Sterling Heights, MI

Does anyone know if anything came up at the last meeting on July 6? I am a former life-long resident of Sterling Heights and I e-mailed each council person a letter.

Agility training in Michigan

I would really like to get my puppy Maggie started in agility. In her puppy classes, she has shown a strong desire and athleticism towards the obstacles so I think it would be great for her. The instructors are amazed at how quick she catches on and does things with no fear. She is just over 6 month...

Re: "Is my dog dog-aggressive?"

We got her when she was 10 weeks and she was with her mom and dad and litter mates until then. Like I said, we have a 14 yr old dog in the house so that was her first interaction with us. Since then, she's been socialized with the dogs in her classes, and our friend's dogs (lab, boxer mix, jack russ...

Re: "Is my dog dog-aggressive?"

This is a great post. I have a 6 month old female that I’ve been taking to puppy training since April. Her first class she was fine. The class I’m in now is for older puppies and she gets along fine with a couple of the puppies, 2 of which are Great Danes. There is one Great Dane that is much larger...

Re: Acupuncture?

So far it's helping a little bit. She has staples in 11 different spots on her neck and they use electrodes to stimulate them. They also gave her a cortisone injection. She still is wobbly when she stands up, but she is walking more and wagging her tail. I know these dogs do not like to show when th...

Re: Acupuncture?

The vet is Dr. Simon at Woodside Animal clinic. He's in Royal Oak which is far for me, but the only one I could find. I'm going at 11, but not sure how it's going to go. She is really having a hard time standing at all, let alone walking. Her front paws just fold under. I'm really worried now ...

Acupuncture?

I was just wondering if anyone has had acupuncture for their dog and if so, how did it turn out. Brandy has had a pinched nerve now for about 4 months. It's not getting better and she's been on muscle relaxers, prednisone, and has had cold laser treatments. I took her to a different vet about 10 day...
