Female Dogs body after breeding?

I went to see a young pit girl available for adoption yesterday. She was sooo adorable. She was a stray the animal shelter rescued, appears to be less than a year old, and recently had puppies. She has a great temperment and seems like a great adoption candidate, but I'm curious: If she bred so youn...

Wanted: Female "English" Bulldog

I'm looking to adopt a female, puppy/young, ideally submissive, mellow bulldog...not a pit bulldog, a wrinkly face, lazy show type bulldog.

If you know of any that are available for rescue, please pm me.

Less DA after whelping?

There was in article in the LA Times that quoted an animal control officer saying "after whelping a litter, female pit bulldogs are less dog agressive."

Is this BS?

Best way to find an SBT for adoption?

I know I'll never find an SBT through petfinder.

Is it best to contact the various SBT rescue societies and give them my info?

Wrestling with an adult rescue?

I'm getting another dog at the end of summer. I'm wondering about an adult rescue: Safest way to tell if it likes to be picked up? Safest way to tell if it will allow itself to be bathed regularly? I live on the beach so my dogs need to be washed all the time in the outdoor shower. Also, the sand to...

Very shy, almost to the point of lying down or sitting whenever anyone goes to pet them, and rolling over submissively when approached by other dogs, regardless of size or breed.

Super submissive pits

In the past year, 5 different neighbors on our beach have adopted pits. Everyone seems to have ended up with extremely human and dog submissive pits, and a lot of people in my community have had their eyes opened a bit by these wonderful breed ambassadors. Personally, I love dogs that are very mello...

Feed the dog in the car. Bird hunters feed their pups in the bed of their trucks. I do the same thing so they are comfortable around my surfboards, bikes, etc. in the truck.
