I'm also a member of boxer forums and they have tons of info about ACE. Apparently there are quite a few boxers that have died from heart related problems while using ace.... There is one drug used in anesthetic protocols that should not be used on the Boxer. That drug is Acepromazine, a tranquilize...

I haven't had a puppy in about 6 year(been rescuing) but that sounds about right to me. Don't take my word for it though.

The same thing happened to my pup. She's about a year and a half, I got her in the winter and she was DARK RED. a couple months later she started shedding and now she's a LOT lighter. There's still a couple spots that are darker. it amuses me. the vet said it was normal.... :dunno:

When I get home from work I'll post a picture of Mercedes' feet where her front dewclaws were. Apparently they had them removed when she was quite a bit older and she has TERRIBLE cross scars on both feet. It disgusts me.
My boxer has his dewclaws and we've never had a problem.

I usually do a little more gradual switch than that for a younger dog. 3/4puppy 1/4adult for 2 weeks then half and half for a week etc.
It's normal for his stomach to be a bit upset for the first few days anyway. if it keeps up after he's fully switched over, I'd have him checked out....

Re: Pros and cons and opinions needed *heartworm*

the $450.00 treatment would be the fast fix, the ideal treatment I'm guessing. the $175.00 treatment would be the slow fix. He would go to the vet and get anti-shock meds and stay 24 hours for each treatment and basically all it is is giving HG. This would take 12- 24 months. ***If the slow fix con...

then they realized... hey... this doesn't taste very good.... and why's my mouth foaming?
Most toads arent dangerous, you just might need to follow your pup around with a sponge for a little while...
