Re: X rays prior to adopting?
I have a pretty good eye for knee/hip/elbow issues and am quick to run x rays so we know what we are dealing with. We actually have two dogs available (three if you count the old lady) who have had x rays done. I have been working on making sure anyone I have screening a shelter dog for me knows at ...

Re: Foster (and maybe forever home) Needed for Special Needs Pup
Amie, I have an excellent puppy foster home. WHat do you think would be the possibility of getting them here?

What a handsome boy. Looks like he has a bad knee or hip on the left side?

Re: Cocoa is **Adopted**!!!For GOOD this time..congrats Zoe!!
Months and months ago I had posted a pic of Coco and Zoe commented on her. She didn't find her looks particularly appealing but I replied to her "OMG>>You would SO love this dog!" Because knowing Zoe, Coco was just her cup of tea. Athletic, toy driven, loving as could be with humans. Who k...

*sighs* I wish we had room. If I could get these damn "show dogs" somewhere we would. Until then..we are packed to the gills.

Re: Anyone interested in a UKC type dog?
Nope I don't mind at all. I THINK we are going to send the female back east to someone willing to try and work with her skin issues. I will update if we do. Otherwise..here they are. (no..not all at my house) If anyone is interested in fostering, now would be an excellent time as Petie and Scooby's ...

Re: Anyone interested in a UKC type dog?
I can only attest to the five that we took in. She still has a couple of dogs. One of which was a male from this litter. Dina has actually been the only person to offer so much as moral support towards the pups. But I can certainly tell you this situation has not left me feeling warm and fuzzy about...

Re: Anyone interested in a UKC type dog?
Yeah..I have to say I am pretty disappointed in the lack of help these kids are getting. They are very nice dogs. I mean temperament wise. They are super sweet and have come an incredibly long way from how they arrived six weeks ago. I suppose the positive note is that none of them will ever be addi...

Re: Anyone interested in a UKC type dog?
Because she is "not in a position to help" at this time..so..the pups temporary landing in rescue has officially become 4 pups needing homes. Fortunately..all they needed was treamtent for mange, ear infections, ringworm, skin allergies (the female only)and a hell of a lot of work since th...
