I have always understood luxating patellas to be painful. Which is why the dogs will often favor the worst leg. I am nto sure WAHT I would actually do. I didn't exercise my amstaff male too much untill he was around 16 months. Now he has lots and lots of exercise. And you shouldn't wear your staffpup out untill at least 12 months of age.
