Yeah sucks. I dropped him off this morning and pick him up at 4.30 . Hopefully his ear heals per normal, but i'm not betting on it. The vet suggested I do allergy testing soon after as well, so we can nip his ear infections in the bud. Unfortunately thats an expensive process. Not only do you have t...

Rods having surgery tomorrow

His hematoma keeps coming back, so he has to have it surgically repaired. SUCKS! Poor guy. Bad timing with the cash flow too.

I would get him checked out, especially if this is a recent development. Polyuria (excess urination) and polydipsia (excess drinking) are symptoms of a few different endocrine disorders, and can also indicate problems with the kidneys. Until you figure out what's going on, DON'T restrict his access...

Drinking and Peeing

Well Rod drinks tons. And he pees for like 2 minutes! sometimes he fills himself up so much he cant hold it. That is rare but last night he decided to let go in the kitchen. And even after that he still had a lengthy pee outside. On the other hand Olive worries me with how little she drinks. She sti...

I just started using Selsem Blue for Olive. For Rod, I just wash him as little as possible.. his skin has bad reactions to water, regardless of the soap/non soap I use. Selsem has really helped Olive with her rashy skin issues. And the powder scent lasts for quite a while.

So I have them on the Primal Chicken Grind.
I do have a question though. do I need to feed them fruits/veggies? or is this diet enough?

is he scratching his ear and whining? When Rod gets an ear infection he scratches his ear so much it gets sore. At which point you would need some meds. Check his ear for infections if this is the case.

I just bought the chicken grind. It seems to be what I'm looking for and the price is right. However they did have Oma's brand? It looks pretty good. Minimal ingredients. Meat, bones, hearts livers, kale and broccoli. I'll see if I can find their website. http://www.omaspride.com/products.htm prices...

Well, thats a good point. The wings I think, dont have enough meat. They're stools have been quite chalky and they sometimes strain to get it out. I think I'm going to try the chubs from primal. It will make my wife really happy as well.
