wound care ?

Hi, so, I recently moved to FL and sue to the initial cost of the move, was unable to get my dog flea preventative, unfortunately, he got fleas. My dogs have NEVER had fleas and I feel absolutely terrible! I had given him a flea bath and he seemed to be good for a couple days, however, I didn't spra...

Cane Corso/Pit mix in MI ASAP!!!

Hi! My co-workers niece is desperately seeking a home for her Cane Corso/Pit mix. She has to move back in with her mother and everyone in the house is horribly allergic to dogs (and she is going to be taking care of her mom and unfortunately can't care for the puppy as well). If I didn't already hav...

Any rescues in MI have room for puppies?

Saw an ad very local for someone that has 9 four month old pit pups. The puppies look very skinny! I'd be willing to pick them up and help transport, I have already contacted the woman about an area shelter that offers a "Pit stop" program that will spay and neuter pits and pit mixes free ...

Michigan...help needed asap

Working on getting the whole story, but these two dogs are in desperate need of a new home. They are mother and son, named Duce and Jade. A friend of mine passed this on to me and I'm hoping to help. I was told the dogs need to go because they are "very unsteady around kids" and the family...

Vomitting and loose stool ?

So we just got a new dog yesterday that we took in. He is a Mastiff mix (we were told). Approx. 1.5 years old. Yesterday he pooped in the house 3 times (one was when we left him inside while we were outside with the kids) so I thought maybe it was seperation anxiety or he had to go and couldn't tell...

Re: Wally!!! SE MI

I may have to contact them :) I'm looking for a family dog that would be a good candidate to come to work with me (I work in a couple nursing homes and we are working on making it more 'homey' and they want some animals to come in)

Re: Got some bad news :(

Thanks again everyone for all the kind words. Unfortunately, Monty has passed :( My husband and I were lucky enough to both be with him. I know he is in a better place, but that does not make it easier. My poor daughter is having a very hard time with him no longer being here, they were best buds :(...

Re: Got some bad news :(

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, it really means a lot, really. He has been the best dog I've had and he has been wonderful w/ everyone...especially the kids. I'm glad we were able to rescue him and let him live out his remaining years in a loving home instead of passed around and dumped :( P...

Got some bad news :(

Well, I haven't been on in a while, but as some of you know we've been battling allergies w/ Monty for the last few years. However, back in November we thought he was having a major allergy issue...but knew something else was going on. He dropped down to 98 lbs (from 110), was lethargic and vommitti...

Re: Single protein food?

Thanks for the help everyone! I'm definitely gonna look in to some of these. I feel so bad for him! He was a rescue and was in really rough shape. He is chewing on himself like crazy! He chews his feet to the point he has puncture wounds that I am trying really hard to keep clean. He just got put on...

Single protein food?

I'm having some issues w/ my poor pup. He has allergies really bad. We were told it's a flea allergy, which made sense b/c he was only having issues in the warmer weather...one vet thought it was a food allergy...though he'd been on the same food and never had problems...except for the first summer ...
