I agree that she may have more freedom than she should, but, I have to say, that most of the time she is with us, and its pretty infrequently that she gets out of our line of vision. Its just hard because we have an apartmet with very large doorways and not many doors, meaning, gates are difficult.....

We are thinking about a class, it would definitely be good for her, but we have to wait a while on that, as someone is always home with them, but im in graduate school and work full time, and bf works nights and sleeps during most days, so though we are always home, its mostly our down time (when we...

Gracie's not very good at much at this moment. She needs a lot of training. We rescued her 3 weeks ago.... I guess we could start with a "leave it" command. Its hard to know where to start... Shes had a rough start in life and apparantly shes never lived by any rules!!

How to stop a dog from "counter surfing"?

Gracie has been doing things that are sort of "shocking" to us, as Tyson would never even think of doing these things. One of these is "counter surfing". She puts her paws up on the counter/table, and will lick bowls, take things, eat things, etc. This is potentially dangerous fo...

Itchy Skin -- Fish Oil?

Well, we've been struggling with Tyson for quite some time with food allergies and chronic ear infections.... And here's Gracie, who's always scratching her skin. I understand that she could just have dry skin, or a possible allergy. She is currently on Science Diet, as that is what she was eating a...

No, no, no, Tyson is not on a flexi lead. In fact, we're still using the leash he came to us with, the one his previous owner gave to us. It is a chain leash with a nylon handle. It looks similar to this but with a nylon handle. It is 4 ft. long.: http://www.leathercellar.com/leashchain1.jpg Anyway,...

It seems really strange to me. The guy said he had his dog on a leash like ours. I really don't think it makes any sense at all, and Im a bit skeptical, but not discounting it all together. To me, a thicker chain leash makes your dog tougher, and why would they enforce a law that makes dogs with bad...

Is this possible? NYC leash law

BF and I were walking Tyson today. He has a 4 ft. long chain leash. We actually want to get a nylon leash soon, but thats beside the point. While we were walking, a man stopped us to tell us that he got ticketed for not having his dog on a thick enough chain. He wanted to warn us that we had to get ...

dog.com is good too.
Great prices, and they (usually) have fast shipping.
