Thanks all. I spoke to the vet last night for an hour, and took him in this morning. She feels that due to his symptoms it could be pancreatic insufficiency. I heard the testing was expensive, but she said it is $105 so that is not bad. (I was thinking several hundred) Please keep Roman in your pray...

I found this link about early spay/neuter:
http://www.vivo.colostate.edu/hbooks/pa ... early.html

There really seems to be conflicting reports about whether or not early spay/neuter affects growth from what I have read on different sites.

Re: Nylabones

I thought labs were good chewers. I was wrong. I bought Bella her first Nylabone a couple of months ago, the one designed for powerful chewers. She was breaking it into pieces after about two weeks. I got her another one yesterday and she's loving it. Anyone had issues with NOTHING being able to ho...

I have read in many places that an unaltered dog is more likely to bite. It makes sense. When a female is in heat, she can be hormonal and snippy. When an intact male smells a female and can't get to her, he is likely to become frustrated and thus more likely to snap or bite. Intact males are also m...

Roman is Ill...Opinions? Advice?

I want to start this by letting you know he does have an appointment next week on Thursday. I may get him in earlier possibly. Problem: Roman has always been thin. He eats more than my other dogs, but doesn't seem to gain weight. If he eats foods that contain wheat/corn as the main ingredients, he l...

ATTN: NC, SC, VA, TN, and GA People:

I'm looking for low cost spay and neuter programs in these states to add to my low cost spay/neuter page.

Please list any that you know of in these areas, so that I can get my site updated and get more exposure for these wonderful programs!

It costs me about $50 every time I buy food for my two dogs, and that lasts me about 6 weeks, give or take a dog! I have fosters, too, and they eat the food as well, so that of course makes me go through it faster!

Hope this helps!
