Re: Help Crazy Woman next door

When your wife went and talked to her what did the woman say? Did she say she is just being nice and giving them treats? Or did she get defensive or deny doing it? If she was just giving treats perhaps she likes them and maybe you could have a day a week where she can play with them? Maybe she's a l...

Re: no bark collar

There are many others here that can give better advice than I can. My take on it is he enjoys barking at people when he is in the yard, he 'wins' because they always leave. It is very rewarding for him, and fun. Is there any way to block his views? Like with a chain link fence you can insert those p...

Re: no bark collar

In what situations is your dog barking? There are many ways to curb unwanted barking in different situations. There may be a better solution than a collar.

That would be awesome if you could get ahold of that. I would be very interested in reading it.

Re: Another dog death blamed on dog treats...

I'm not much of 'treat' giver. I can't even remember the last time I bought packaged treats for my dogs. I use their kibbles for training and treats around here are scraps from butchering goats or sheep, bones, hide, organs etc. Reading this is just reinforcement to me to not buy treats.

Interesting stuff. Is there a copy that goes into more detail as far as what these diets were made with? Ingredients used and amounts.

One reason I'm so glad to live where I do- no fleas! We have other things like mosquitos as big as small birds but they are not that bad....

Then put a leash on her in your room to prevent her from knocking over the tanks. Reward her for being calm and sitting, calm rewards not jumping up and down clapping saying good dog. Use the links others have posted, watch them, soak it in. You tube can be a great source for examples of how its don...

Re: Bathroom in crate?

Any discovery as to the pottying? I was thinking it over and I feed my guys once a day because they are in crates (in winter only) while I am at work and they do not have accidents. If I feed them twice a day they have messed in their crates. Just a thought...

Re: This seems like a crazy question to ask, but....

I would not expect my animals to mind another human as they do me. I have raised and trained them and they respond to me well. Yes they mostly get along and I probably could take them to the dog park but don't. They do mind other people for the most part.. .but I would not expect them to be comforta...

Re: Playful Behavior around animals. Gets into everything.

Training can be very simple. If she is hungry then you can teach her new behavior and use pieces of kibble for rewards. If she just eats out of a bowl at her leisure then you try to teach her new things she wont be interested in the food reward. Look up clicker training basics on you tube. Also watc...

Don't give up. Jobs are hard to find nowadays, just keep trying. I really hope you can get her something better. As far as your mum saying the other digs teeth are bad and he can't eat other kinds....id mention to her that all kibbles are just about the same hardness as dog chow. Maybe a kind with s...

Re: Good News :)

It sounds to me like you still live with your parents. I understand if they are stubborn and wont switch what kind of food they buy. Dog chow may not be the best but there are worse foods out there. Is there any way you could get a part time job after school and buy your choice of food for her? Even...
