Re: Gorgeous Sacramento dog needs home

Thanks Lisa, She's actually on the second night of a three day trial sleepover with her potential new home. Single guy, divorced and wife got their dog and he got the cats. Has a roommate with a 3 yr old shepherdy-type male, lives in Arden Park, a great area as far as Sac goes with a huge six foot f...

Re: Patty, my foster girl :) Wilmington, NC

Craigslist is full of strange people, but don't rule it out entirely, I have been pretty successful finding great homes for several dogs that way, pit bull and non-pit bull. Remember how many people on this forum look at it, granted just to see how bad things are but you never know when that right p...

Gorgeous Sacramento dog needs home

Meet Bridget – she is a wonderful 3 year old spayed female who was at the Sacramento City shelter for 5 weeks and time was running out. I am an active dog volunteer there, so I decided to foster her and keep her safe until the right home can be found. She is allowed to play in the yard with my neute...

Re: 2 month old pittie needs help!

Poor Kabuki ... and poor Einstein, the brindle pup is still out there somewhere and was likely in contact with the same parvo area that got Kabuki sick. If anyone lives in the area of Broadway up to South Land Park and possibly down to Oak Park, keep an eye out for little Einstein. I'm so glad you p...

Daphne had it when we adopted her....I found that buying those empty gel capsules at the health food store works great....just fill them up with the liquid and hide it in some meat and she ate them all just fine.

e Coli urinary tract infection - any advice?

Okay, Scooby, our heeler, has been testing our financial reserves lately. 10 days ago, we took him to our vet because he appeared to be having issues pee'ing, as in straining to pee. I thought maybe a bladder infection, although I thought neutered males weren't as likely to get them. Anyway, the vet...

Thanks for the good thoughts, Toto found his way home tonight. A great home, in Rancho Murietta (he really changed his stars) with a schoolteacher and her partner and their min-pin. It was love at first sight, so I don't expect he'll be coming back but it was sure fun walking a little dog for a chan...

Toto (terrier/chi mix) needs a home!

My husband found him a month ago running loose on a really busy street. No collar, no microchip, no owner response to our flyers at the shelter, etc. Basically, no one cared enough about this little guy. So....we got him neutered and vaccinated and heartworm tested (neg) and he's ready to go to a fo...

Pit Bull Spay/Neuter resources - Los Angeles

I have a few people signed up for the free pit training classes Villalobos will be putting on again, and I've been able to politely encourage spaying and neutering. Some want to, just really can't afford to do it. I've given out the PBRC link, LA AS, and Actors for Animals. Pasadena Humane would be ...

Just a tip for giving her the ivermectin, I had to do the same for Daphne when she was going through her demodex treatment. I used those empty gel capsules, like at a vitamin store, just took the capsule apart and filled it with the ivermectin and put it back together. Then it was real easy to put t...

For Puck or pay it forward on the next poor dog. He might need a sweater when he arrives where he's going....those old bones like to be just that much warmer.
