Re: Ben from Ella's Lead (again)

There's only one tortimus.
Tortoises are tortoises, but Stagger Lee is a tortimus. The only one. lol

Re: Please think of her

Oh, Val, I am so, so, sorry. :crybaby:
I wish I knew the words. But I don't.
We know how much you loved her, and how much she was loved by everyone.

Re: oh lord...embarrassing injestion....

Uh, I am CONSTANTLY paranoid that one of my two pups is going to get an obstruction of sorts that will require surgery and when they get the surgery, they'll pull out some COMPLETELY humiliating. Because no matter what I do, my two have an obsession with finding sanitary napkins (can't flush those!)...

Re: When can I expect Luke not to look like a lanky fool?

Ok, I took a few photos of him.
Taking photos in snow is really difficult. It's soooo hard for me to get the white balance right.
Here's a link to the posted photos.

Re: When can I expect Luke not to look like a lanky fool?

Arnold is an adult and although he filled out up until 3 years (I swear his head spread and his thighs grew) he's still very leggy. Much of this is suspect to very early neutering as it can be associated supposedly with lankier bodies. In the end though he grew up to be a handsome devil if you ask ...

Re: When can I expect Luke not to look like a lanky fool?

Oh, I got some pictures. Turns out it was snow, not rain, so I took him out and got some photos of him.
He likes being in the snow far more than Ophie does.

I have to PP them this afternoon and then I'll post them up.

When can I expect Luke not to look like a lanky fool?

hehehehe. Luke has always had more legs than anything else. He's looked "awkward" since he was 4 months old. Then I THOUGHT his body was catching up with his legs, and then I awoke one morning to find that he looks lankier now than EVER. We recently started transitioning the pups to adult ...

Re: Lucy broke a tooth

This happened to Luke once when we were playing tug.
I kept an eye on it, but the tooth fell out soon after he broke it.

I'd take Misskiwi's advice. :))

Re: Probiotics

We use Digest-All Plus for the pups. http://www.amazon.com/Wholistic-Digest-All-Plus/dp/B001PYCNWI It has digestive enzymes and probiotics. When switching the pups from Fromm's Puppy Gold to Fromm's Adult Gold food, we were doing the 1/4 cup new to the 3/4 cup old. AND OHMYGOD. The pups had such HOR...

Re: RAW food

I started reading the thread because I'm starting to wean Luke and Ophie off of puppy kibble. I'd love to feed raw, but I am a total chicken crap about it because Ella didn't do well on raw, and I researched and thought I had catered the diet to what she needed. But I was feeding her over 3 lbs. a d...

Re: Giving real bones to Piper...question

I refreeze the pups' raw recreational bones until they remove all the crap from the outside of the bone. Sometimes there will still be marrow in them, but I won't refreeze them (maybe I should?). But I keep most bones, even after they've cleaned them out, because I reuse them by stuffing them with w...

Re: Too hard at tug of war??!! lost puppy teeth

I made this mistake with Luke, but it wasn't a canine tooth. And he was fine, but yeah, I just held the rope after that. But when they are pups, it seems, they lose teeth left and right. Mine would lose them, and I'd freak out because there'd be so much blood all of a sudden on a toy or something. M...

Re: Heat stroke...

you have a valid point, Starrlamia. I guess it's just whenever someone in our PBF community loses one of their dogs, it hits me badly, and most of the time I cannot even post in the announcement threads (as most probably have noticed, I still cannot bring myself to type up a memorial thread for Ella...
