Why not just get her a kick ass orthepedic DOG bed instead of trying to substitiute the couch and the bed, which dogs do not need to be on, esp. if they have joint issues???? Just a thought. All my dogs stay on dogs beds all the time and seem just fine, and one of them has hip issues.

A squirt of saline solution into the infected eye once a day seems to help my guys, if the problem does arise. Nothing usually lasts in my house, though.

I was under the impression that dogs were relatively immune to the kinds of bacterial infections that make us so fragile...like with the B.A.R.F. diet. Dogs aren't immune to bacteria, it is the acidity of their stomach that kills it vs. our stomachs. Something like 4 and up is the ph that cer...

I don't really agree with that in a lot of ways..sorry. I think it is crappy advice to tell people to run to the vet for things like diarreaha, eye discharge, tiredness, coughing. If you cannot effectively gage whether your dog is ACTUALLY sick/ill/hurt or not, then you don't need to have a dog - I ...

I have taken up to three at a time by myself, usually not doing more than two at a time. There are tiedowns on the wall at my training facility, so it made it easy. I would just run them in the class equally, tieing down whichever one I wasn't working. It really depends on your ability as a handler ...

Well, I have collars from all three companies and it really depends what you are looking for. They all have great products, though. I like the quality plus design of collarmania, the plain, yet durablility of stillwater and the bulkiness of the blocky dogs. All are functional and have lasted through...

I think it depends on the dog here. The applicant doesnt sound perfect, but could potentially provide a safe and sound home, even if they move and dont work that much. If the dog is a dog who has the potential to have behaviour issues that would need tons of work, then I give it a no go.

Hey Dick- I dont have pet insurance, but I looked into only to find that it really isnt that great. It is probably most useful if you get a dog from puppyhood, covering vaccs, etc. I know that you have to pay upfront and then send in a claim - and they usually dont cover the entire costs. Also, they...

A leg is a qualifying run. So if you go, compete in one trial and succeed, you get one leg. And Bullylady is half-right. The legs have to be under two different judges. So you can have 2 of your 3 legs under one judge. thanks for clarifying that. I actually just heard about this through a dog train...
