AKC Amstaf Chico- Nor Cal

This is Chico, a five year old AST(AKC registered) boy who is losing his home in a month or two when his military family is moved back east. He is an easy, low maintenance family pet. Housetrained, crate trained, basic obedience, low exercise requirements, just a good household companion. Okay with ...

Well, I would say they are pretty nice pups. None are overly timid or overly pushy. All of them have very decent prey drive, ranging from Cinn, who chases and grabs anything, to Dilly and Cayenne, who are playful and chase, but rarely retrieve and are distractable. Cinn is also the most impulsive an...

So, I figure if I just keep posting pictures, eventually someone will reach their threshold for cuteness and just have to adopt one! roflmao The group http://pic18.picturetrail.com/VOL935/3250516/6647486/329201781.jpg Sage http://pic18.picturetrail.com/VOL935/3250516/6647486/329789697.jpg Red pups i...

Well, we did get a couple calls of the needing an outside guard dog variety this weekend. Today's caller said he needs a dog to "challenge people". Wow.

It is a little strange how little interest they are getting. :frown:

It's just a name game. The same way brown is called chocolate in pit bulls and labs and red in aussies, border collies and dobermans and liver in pointers. She can call him whatever she wants. He's still not a fawn merle. I'm not sure why you're so hung up on proving me wrong about the pup's color :...

Cool Dane picture! That guy, however, is a standard(not for a dane of course) red merle, which is to say, liver or brown merle. It's basically the merle gene acting on a black dog, but in this case, the black becomes brown because the dog is recessive bb at locus B. He's got a brown(red) nose, too. ...

They're fawn merles, which can be difficult to see(esp with poor picture quality! lol ) The female pup is most obvious, but there is a male, who is merle also, and it shows most in his partially diluted mask, although he has some spots, too. Last night I noticed that one of the other females has a m...

Oh, I hope things turn out to be okay! My dog had a Grade III/IV heart murmer accidentally discovered as the result of something else that was going on, and it turned out to be nothing major. He has subaortic stenosis and while it makes his heartbeat sound "rough", it is actually extremely...
