Dallas Area Members - Help me save this dog! (non PB)

sebb0191 wrote:Now I'm getting emails back from all the rescues telling me she was adopted. That shelter must hate me right now for all these people calling about one dog!

I'm willing to bet they're happy to receive the calls, knowing people care and want to help.

I'm so happy the pup was adopted!

She is cute! I hope someone adopts her, or that you're able to find a rescue that can pull her :pray

We carry 4 of them at my clinic, because one is not always the best choice. I try to avoid Deramaxx because I have seen a bad reaction to it, it was prob...

Re: Alternatives to Metacam?

did they say why ? She said it's the only pain reliever that works for pain and discomfort from hip displaysia. I would advise your friend to get a second opinion. She is. When the vet prescribed metacam, she said that she wanted to look at other options as she didn't feel metacam was right for her...

Re: Alternatives to Metacam?

Thanks for all the info, she's going to discuss the suggestions made here with her vet at their appointment this week. So my friend just got out of the vet appointment, and apparently her vet told her that she won't prescribe or recommend anything other than metacam. Needless to say, she's now look...
