Re: New to me.

Sounds almost like a poisoning...I mean I know the first thing to think of is a seizure (seize, not cease-you should give your airman a heads up on that one), do dogs typically foam at the mouth when they seize? It sounds like bad bad business. And the dog was probably lunging because it was out of...

Luigi missed the part about pit bulls being stoic...

My friend had a Rottweiler like that. He hurt his leg and was pretty dramatic about it, and figured out if he limped he'd get major sympathy. To this day whenever he gets scolded or in any type of trouble he'll instantly start limping.

Re: Veterinary Chiropractor Experiences

I'm having a consult with a chiropractic adjuster next week about Gypsy. I'm hoping she can help, she is going to view the x-rays and we will go from there. When I took my cat to the chiropractic vet she couldn't really see anything on the x-rays that stood out to her, but it was when she was feeli...

Re: ugh....how do you find

This is honestly one of my biggest fears. I adore my vet, as do my cats, and if she left and I didn't know where she went I'd lose my mind. I hope you're able to find out where she went.

Re: Veterinary Chiropractor Experiences

I am officially a huge fan of chiro! A month ago my cat was in so much pain that she was barely able to move. She had one chiropractic adjustment, as well as some acupuncture, and today she is racing around my apartment, bouncing off the furniture (literally bouncing!) jumping on and off a 7 foot sc...

Re: Purdue Vaccine Study

I've been doing titers for 2 years now. Once they were fully vaccinated by 6 months or so, the only thing they get after that is rabies and that is because it is required by law. A titer will not suffice. With the rabies they are on an every 3 years routine. Everything else our vet wants to give a ...

Re: NDR: Cat with Partial/Focal Seizures

Are focal seizures and partial seizures the same thing, or are they two different type of seizures? I'm pretty sure its two ways of discussing the same thing, I've only discussed them as focal seizures. Focal seizures can be EXTREMELY variable, so I don't see how a partial seizure would/could be di...

Re: NDR: Cat with Partial/Focal Seizures

To keep it short and sweet... the brain can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants... very annoying organ. If the seizures are getting worse, then I would absolutely agree with your vet, although I wouldn't do a low dose, I'd do a normal feline starting dose, with a phenobarbital level 30 days lat...

NDR: Cat with Partial/Focal Seizures

Sorry if I should've posted this in Miscellaneous, I know it's not dog related but I'm hoping for feedback from some of the people on this forum that know a lot about animal health. I've got this cat that if she was a car I'd call her a "lemon". Anything that can happen, does happen, and s...

Thanks for all the replies everyone, it makes me feel a bit more at ease to hear from others who have used chiro for their pets.

I saw some pictures of her on your Paco Collars Facebook page...she's gorgeous! Hopefully she finds that perfect home soon.
