thanks for the advice...I hate seeing him in pain and it really feels like he can't put any pressure whatsoever on it at all...any recommendation on how long to wait or just go day by day to see if he gets any better?

Thanks

Chasesmom . . . in my humble opinion I would try to go with a grain free food as grain is not a natural part of a dogs diet. Even if your dog does fine with grains it is much healthier for them not to eat grains . . . if totally opposed to feeding raw then i would recommend something along the lines...

Confused, scared, SOOOO much information . . .

I really want to start feeding Achilles (75 lb. pit bull) a raw based diet. In all honesty I am just really scared to start without knowing what I'm getting myself into . . . Doesn't the raw chicken and stuff give them salmonila or whatever and also can't they choke on those big bones?!?!? Is there ...

NV Raw, Primal Raw, etc.

Do more people not feed these raw foods because of how expensive they are? I see that feeding Achilles who is 75 lbs. would cost me about 100 a month for food and shipping JUST feeding raw . . . I'm thinking about doing half raw half grain-free kibble? I might get into making the raw food for him bu...

Grain Free Food?

Hey this is probably a really stupid question but is it only kibble with grains in it? Does wet food such as the Merrick stuff have grains in it? Thanks.
